Secret to shaping up

hmm i did a review of that DVD last night and I dont think its posted to the thread???..................
 
oo im all excited about starting! I'm going to finish my soup, watch a programme ive been meaning to for ages on the iplayer whilst I have peace, then watch the intro dvd and then do cardio (get the evil one out of the way first!) I only have the 5lb bell that came with it but I'm sure that's better than nothing! Perhaps hubby will treat me to a 5kg one at the weekend :giggle:

Ouu u starting with cardio? I might do too then bite the bullet and all that, I've watched the intro it's hilarious! Gonna do mine tonight while hubby puts kids down x

Definitely start with cardio and get it out the way. I do cardio, then core (which I found easiest), then resistance.
Cardio hurt most afterwards, so core (which in week 1 was a fair amount of floor work) seemed to be a good follow on as it doesn't hurt achey muscles so much! Resistance week one has a fair mix of floor ad standing, which is nice :)

round 2 .... ppfffftttt and this is with a poxy 5lb bell. My word I'm out of shape. I loved it though!

eeeekkk i'm so excited!!! did you read the DVD with the eating plan? I skimmed through it, very similiar concept to SW. Gonna print out the before and after bits to compare. It says how many push ups can you do before and after!!! I can't do push ups and i'd be amazed if i can after!!!! (I know very Fatitude thought :D)
 
no haven't read it yet. Going to do it when I've finished feeding my little dude :) I think i managed 2 real push ups. I bet my 3 yr old dd could have done better lol that bit goes too fast for me!

Donzy swing girl swing :) you are funny, these would be great login names lol I never looked at the intro/diet stuff, so do you log how many push ups you can do now, then after the 6 weeks ooh I think I would have got a good increase from 0 lol I hope your cats dont mind being banished for a short while, looking forward to your after workout post and how you get on with your 5kg

Numnum starting light will be ok but be nice to hubby and you may persuade him to get you a little treat lol dont put bell buddy Donzy off, hope you get a chance to put your feet up and you definately have tons of fititude, so dont worry about keeping up it will happen :)

Well not sure about Ripitude... I've currently got Jellytude! my legs are so shaky, i managed the 5kg until half way through the 2nd set then switched down. I was like you numnum fine until it said set 2 and i was like :eek::eek::eek: i gotta do it again!!! at the end i just laid on the floor face down for a few min :boohoo:. Really good fun though!!! Oh how much do you have to lower your arms to call it a push up??? I can only move my arms about an inch anymore and my face would smash the ground... so i'm thinking day 1 push ups 0!

Well still waiting for mine but not to be put off completed my 3rd practice session just now. Still sweating like a pig but I imagined I was swinging my 4kg bell into a looting scumbag's face and that cheered me up immensely! Roll on Sunday for more bells!
 
Hi Donzy you get most of the way through before swapping down that's impressive, I thought you were a weakling lol definitely a lot stronger than you thought :) you deserved a lie down after that lol
 
Sue what a great way to push yourself harder, if it happened here me and my bell would be ready - ooh did your face meet my bell ...

Yes Kron, thank you :) Although I might not be saying that next time I try the "halo" move ... a few bumps to the old noggin today, dread to think what it'll be like with a heavier one :giggle:

I think the bell could be classed as a lethal weapon if used with intent can you imagine what a good swipe could do, broken bones as a minimum

I bet someone has dropped it on their foot, and I have had some lovely bruises lol one girl at class did let go of hers in a swing and it went flying across the room before bouncing a few times, luckily no one was in front and it was only a plastic 3 so no damage done, we all keep behind her now lol
