Secret to shaping up

what a difference!!! I have done C25k & never ever enjoyed running but always loved the 'idea' of being able to go for a run to unwind. I started the plan seeing if i could manage it & starting evry week thinking this will probably be the week that beats me & week after week I surprised myself. I think when I managed my first 20 minute run I knew that I would complete the plan but up until that point I took it 1 day at a time. I absolutely love running now & not just the idea of it. It really chills me out after a full day of tears & tantrums with the kids. Give it a shot coz it breaks you in nice & gentle

We'll all have washboard abs in no time!! Then we won't be cutting our heads out of the pictures, we'll be flaunting ourselves with big cheesey grins :D
 
Numnum I can see a huge difference in your pics especially the side view ones, I think you'll see an even bigger difference now that you've introduced kettleworx- will look forward to updates! Well done :)

Gettingfit i think you have a good shape already, you have a small waist and your abs at the top look quite toned already! I think you're gonna see amazing results :) excited to see follow ups :)

Well i had my 4th SW weigh in today ladies and I've put on 0.75 lbs for the 2nd week in a row! I know I'm losing inches but I want to lose the lbs too( not too much right enough!) it's a tad annoying! I don't want to block up the thread with WI details but have other 'swingers' found this has happened and when will the pounds start to shift again??!

Hey chick

Since I've been exercising daily..... Shred, c25k and kettlebells, since beginning of June, I have lost about 3lbs in total. Was sooooo frustrated but I'm trying to focus on my body shape and if the weight comes too then yay! It takes a while to feel that way tho lol!! X
 
I meant 4 th weigh in! It's since I've started kw I've been gaining 0.75 a week lol!!

Thanks cleo, good to know others are in the same boat. Maybe we'll have a miraculous loss one of these days!!

Gettingfit you have a great body, and great legs as well - what tummy? you have a lovely definition showing, has it always been like this. Your proportions are gorgeous a proper hour glass :) Hope you find your 3 weeks ago pics

Chick your weight loss will come, as long as your sticking to plan it will catch up - Sweet will tell you

It is quite common for sts or weight gain the first few weeks of exercising, you can soemtimes have an increase in appetite due to your activity which is ok, as long as your eating well - no fatty, fried foods, butters, high carb etc. I had a slow down in weight loss when I first started kbs, then had a big one 3 weeks later, and I have lost every single week (bar Christmas - put on 4 :) and 3 sts in 6 months of sw) - and still losing lol
Your quite close to target, what plan are you following - do you post in a diary or thread. We could catch up on there
 
Cleogin oh booo on only 3lbs in that time, what plan do you follow?
I am heavier than i look, my weight is upper limit of my bmi (whether we believe in bmi or not its a measure :) ) according to that i could lose another stone, but theres nothing of me - well except for my thighs lol Inches matter so dont be disheartended by a number :)
 
Sweet :) is shrinking and running ... you just keep getting better and better with your running, so pleased for you

Sue I wish i had done a photo diary, i think it would be awesome to look back on, dont have many before photos either - the truth hurt

Goodbye wobbles you will miss that belly perch when its gone lol. Fingers crossed for postie to come banging on your door :) I agree with Numnum in that a toned body over a saggy one will always be the best, and you will only get that thru decent exercise and i class the bells as top notch :)

Hi Momo4 welcome I am a firm believer that you shoudl complete all over training with targeted toning if wanted. You need to find something you enjoy,I woudl obviously recommend kbs :) but they are very demanding, and quite addictive lol but may not be the best choice as can be quite intensive, unless you mean high impact as in running, jumping etc

Hi Hollie - the dreaded * it knocks me out for days and was the reason i didnt do class last week, hope you feel better and get your cardio in, but if not, hey theres always tomorrow :) Hope your knee stops clicking, that would be off putting

Donzy :) those side lifts - I never ever got on with them and refused to do them lol I did another exercise wheneve that one came on - it did beat me, but I dont care lol

I do mainly red and green old style. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and although I'd like to be there again I'm roughly 4 stone lighter than my original weight and am "reasonably" happy how I am now.
I tend to stray off plan off the weekend, I don't want food to get in the way of life..... Last time I became a bit obsessed. Got a right lecture from my dad lol. Problem is I will always have to watch what I eat or I have potential to gain massively.
Feel so much better after stepping up the exercise. I've completed 3 marathon moonwalks & 2 half marathon walks since losing weight and I could barely walk up the stairs before. I try to take comfort in this when the scales are mean to me! X

This forum has been great to spread the word, and thanks for listening and giving it a go, hopefully more people will learn about non traditional workouts and find their waist lines :)

Cleogin Wow well done on your weight loss, if your happy'ish with your weight, all you need is to get it all pulled in, and your working on that right now :) I know about the weekend binges, am the same way myself lol Kudos doing the marathons, and being fit enough to do them after struggling with stairs! You have had a great journey, and you should be very proud of yourself
 
One day I'd love to find my waist! The last time I had it I was about 20 and that's a very, very long time ago!! :) To be honest I would be happy just to lose my big belly and overhang - mmmmnnnn nice! Will catch up more over the weekend - Saturday is WI day so fingers crossed although maybe I won't lose with starting the exercise properly.

Your weight loss will come. I lost little or nothing for ages & then all of a sudden 4.5lbs in 1 week. In saying that I have STS now for 2 weeks but I know I'm shrinking & the inches. I'm not holding out much hope for a loss this week though as I'm at a wedding on wednesday & although I'm not taking alcohol the food is beyond my control. Maybe the following week I'll get the loss I deserve!!! lol
 
Thanks sweet hope I follow suit then and have a loss next week! I'm gonna go for a jog tomorrow :)

Chick your up early after your birthday celebration and straight into cardio week 3 :)
I am alot more confident, and do tend to strut all over the place now lol, It is quite amazing to think I had a huge belly, and now its gone :)
