weigh in date not till monday but i am already 1lb away from my pre holiday weight! and wow did i eat lots of fatty stuff yesterday! i also upped my water. had about 8 or 9 pints of it :D

FAF, I'm late in joining this, but I wanted to wish you well, and hope your granddaugher is okay.

About your diet/lifestyle, don't panic - stick with Atkins, and you will make it! You are a touch shorter than me, but I still weigh more, and I don't think I've got "tons of blubber". You've already gotten down to your pre-holiday weight, now the rest is all new loss!

I recently went on a cruise, and someone there told me that I wouldn't gain weight from all the food available, but the sea air would make my clothes shrink! When you're on holiday, you eat too much, drink too much, and don't worry about exercise. Usually, you eat more salt than normal and not enough water. All these things put weight on quickly, and when you get home, it's easy to get it under control.

The people on this board are so nice! Keep coming to them if you get stuck, they'll help out!

morning all. had lots to drink last night. half a bottle of rum and 1 and a half bottles of wine. weight has stayed the same. i am getting a bit ocd with the scales and am buying another set today that go on carpet for my downstairs loo. they also measure in half and quarter pounds.
going to have a bbq. got family over later so will be a fun day in the garden.

I want you to keep something in mind about the scales - it is possible to obsess, and it's probably best not to weigh yourself every day. But the point I want to make is... it's not the number on the scales! Even if you appear "stuck" you could still be loosing INCHES.

I bought a bunch of clothes for my cruise, so they are about 6 weeks old, size 18's. They fit on the cruise. They fit when I got home, 2 weeks ago. Last week, I wore my work uniform most days, or old jogging bottoms as I was in the garden so I didn't notice any changes, but I wore my "cruise" trousers last night at a BBQ and realised they were falling off!

I went into my closet this morning and found a bunch of clothes I had from a previous life, plus some hand-me-downs from my MIL - I can now get into size 16 jeans from M&S, plus 16 jeans and dress trousers from Next! Yet the scales have been hovering around the same mark all week - no major signs of movement, yet the inches are falling :)

Measure yourself with a tape, stick to primarily meat and green veg, lots of water, and it WILL happen. I'm so tickled right now it's not funny, and I'm only about 10 days into induction. I can almost see the thinner version of me that's just around the corner :)

Hang in there, and know that it's possible :)

(who did cheat yesterday... I had 3 pieces of pizza (!!!) during my son's birthday lunch. But kept things in check the rest of the day and don't plan on cheating again for a while - I haven't felt like I've needed to!)
 
Hey ladies, im being strict this week. I over indulged yesterday and had a mint magnum (23carbs), i know but it was a mini holiday and i dont drink so it was my little treat. I stayed away from burger buns and all the carby stuff and had my own low carb sausages and burgers which everyone avoided as i said they were my diet ones, they all thought they would taste like diet food!!! Thought i done pretty well considering i had a whole day of being with the mother in law! Lol
 
pizza and icecream yummy. wow that is a lot of carbs for one icecream. i hope you enjoyed it :D
had a lovely day yesterday. took the little uns to the park today but only lasted half hour. was way too hot for them and me. just waiting for a bit of shade in the garden so we can go back out. :D
 
Pizza? I didnt have pizza. It was either the ice cream or a VERY carby toffee cheesecake. Just waiting for the atkins flu to make me feel like pants again. Lol, no sympathy please it was totally self inflicted. I cant go out, im still a bit too pink!
 
i only got the atkins flu mildly this time from when got back off holiday. and it only took me a day to get back into ketosis! :D
 
Ive just suddenly started feeling tired, have a runny nose and a muzzy head. My eyes are stinging too so thought it could be hayfever but mark is ok and he normally gets it before me. Atkins flu already do you think?
 
:8855:your falling apart woman. have you unpacked yet? washing only takes an hour to dry outside in this heat. ive done a mountain!
