Sian's 2015 restart - time to shift the weight once and for all!

RESTART - Friday 5th April (Green)

Morning all!! Well as I expected I gained a pound this morning, putting me at 14 stone 4.5lb. It was a thoroughly deserved gain, and I enjoyed the food that resulted in it, but now it's time to take the bull by the horns again and start over :)

I'm resetting my stats today; firstly as a motivation boost, but secondly to really help with looking at what I'm eating and drinking. As Spanx pointed out, I really do seem to to sabotage my weight loss by not keeping firm control on what I drink on a Saturday night, so while I don't intend to give up my nights out I am going to make a conscious effort to stick to a manageable level of syns for alcohol, and then not get into the mindset of "oh, I've wrecked my week already so I may as well just carry on eating a tonne of syns until I weigh in"! :) I really am going to need your support though to help me...without my best pal at work to motivate me I've really become quite lax over the last 3 months.

Right, time for my food plan...


Today's food is as follows:

Breakfast:

Banana and pineapple

Lunch:

Quinoa, courgette and parmesan (HexA) bites with salad and chicken (HexB)
Cottage cheese
EL salad cream - 1 syn!

Supper:

Spanish omelette (HexA for cheese and HexB for bacon), baked beans and SW wedges
Oil - 2 syns

Snacks and drinks:

2 clementines

Saturday 6th April (Red)

Food plan...

Breakfast:

I overslept so I just had a banana

Lunch:

Spanish omelette (HexA)
Salad
EL salad cream - 1 syn

Supper:

Bacon
SW fried egg
Wholemeal toast (Hex B)
Tinned tomatoes
Mushrooms
Ketchup - 2 syns
EL spread - 2 syns

Snacks and drinks:





Today's syns: 5

Total syns: 8 (+ 40 alcohol syns - a lot I know, but it's manageable :))

What an absolutely glorious day!! Even better, it's Grand National day, wooo! I know a lot of people don't agree with the race, and I agree that some of the fences need to be lowered, but I just love it!! It's always been a tradition for our family to have a bet on the national, so I've chosen TeaForThree and Sunnyhillboy. Fingers crossed! :D

Sunday 7th April (EE)

Food plan...

Breakfast:

Banana
Pineapple
Small piece of leftover Spanish omelette (half HexA)

Lunch:

Roast pork
Roast potatoes (HexB for oil)
Honey roast parsnips - 2 syns
Carrots
Leeks
Gravy - 5 syns

Supper:

Chicken and mushroom pasta and sauce with boursin stirred in (5 syns)
Shredded chicken
Cherry tomatoes
Beetroot

Snacks and drinks:

Remaining small piece of omelette (half HexA)

I'm still bloomin starving! :eek::eek::eek: It's obviously going to be one of those days...no hangover, just the munchies instead!

I still haven't decided what to have for tea tonight as I've already used my HexB and half my HexA. Hmmm!

Hmmm what about a pasta dish maybe a quick carbonara Philly mushroom a ham or bacon etc ??
or good old Sw chips & beans filling and stodgy and syn free ??? X

Both options sound yummy! I shall have to see what my mum and dad fancy though, they get a bit fed up of me having different stuff all the time :)

I can't believe I'm still hungry though...I actually have hunger pains, lol! Think my brain's a bit dodgy today! Xx

Productive afternoon today...another third of the controlled assessment marked. Only a third to go and that's that laborious task over for another year. Woooo! Still got lots to do before going back to work in a week's time, but at least it feels like there's a light at the end of the tunnel :)

Monday 8th April (EE)

Morning all! Woken up today with a really bad headache...tried sleeping for another hour to see if it would shift it, but nada! :( I hate those mornings! Anyway, no more moaning...it's a beautiful day again, woooo! Maybe we're finally going to get some decent weather before I go back to work!

Today's food plan...

Breakfast:

None - my head's making me feel a bit sick :(

Lunch:

Salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, peppers, beetroot and grapes
Cottage cheese
SW scotch egg wrapped in bacon - 2 syns
EL salad cream - 1 syn

Supper:

Cold roast pork
Savoury rice and garlic courgette stuffed pepper topped with 40g RF cheddar (HexA)
Sweetcorn

Snacks and drinks:

2 ryvita fruit crunch (HexB) topped with 30g Cadbury philadelphia (4.5 syns) and sliced banana (absolutely divine, and my new sweet treat! :D)
Strawberry Greek Muller - 0.5 syn




Today's syns: 8

Morning hun! It was a lovely swim thanks...after the enormous stuffed pepper I had for tea I had concerns about sinking, but luckily they were unfounded, lol! I swam 30 lengths in about 35 minutes...not great, but it all helps I suppose :) How are you today hun? Xxx

Hiya hun! I love the fruit ryvita, they're so much nicer than the normal ones! Unfortunately you can only have 2 though for a healthy extra :sigh: It was a lovely sweet treat though, I'm going to try to have it again today if I can save my HexB for it! :D

Tuesday 9th April (EE)

Afternoon all! Well once again I woke up with a headache, and can't shift it again. I'm wondering whether it's a bug or something? I dunno! Anyway, no more moaning as it's a lovely day again! I feel so much more motivated when the sun is shining :D I had a sneaky peek on the scales today (first so far this week, go me!) and I was disappointed to see that they weigh a pound heavier than Friday! :eek::eek::eek: I hope that's gone by Friday! Maybe it's the result of last week's bad eating? Does it take time for naughty foods to show up on the scales? I dunno! Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it!

Bit gutted today, I can't have my ryvita as mum wants wedges tonight and won't have them cooked in frylight, so I'll have to use my HexB for oil. Poo!! I was looking forward to having that again.
