Hello everyone, sorry to have panicked you all, went to WI and when I got home, I had such a bad head I went to lay down and have just woken up.
This cold has really got a grip now, my throat is on fire, but I am not going to give in to it...I put on this week guys 1.5lb, somehow I thought I might, even though my scales said yesterday or was it the day before, I don't remember, that I had lost 3.5lbs...I wasn't convinced, I have barely eaten a thing over the last 4 days and I know how my body reacts to lack of food, that's why I always lose more when I up my syns.
I had intended just to go and weigh in and go, but after the leaflet deliveries on the weekend, we had a huge intake of new members tonight, 11 in all...and there was no one in that could cover me while C did the introductory chat, so I stayed and it was freezing in there, not felt warm since.
Well am knuckling down to try and have a good week next week, having said that I'm not totally convinced there wasn't a problem with the scales, C said they are due a service, cos out of 46 people who weighed in tonight only 5 members + 3 newbies from last week, actually lost and the SOTW won with a 1.5lb loss....we are a group that averages in the 60lb to 90lb a week, we lost just over a stone and 9lbs of that was from new members and our SOTW is normally someone who loses 3+lb a week...very strange...oh well hope everyone is well...speak soon xxx

Hope you are feeling better tomorrow lily, sorry to hear you have put on, I think the scales could be wrong like you said, hope they change them for next week, just think you could lose 'double' next week:fingerscrossed:

Julie didn't say what our average was for this week- but our average for the 4 weeks of august (not including today's wi) was 0.97lb for the group (that included my nearly 3lb a week average :( :( ) so we didnt win the groups monthly challenge- i was gutted

out of the group who wins the challenge (out of her tuesday AM, tuesday PM and wednesday PM groups), one person gets a free 6 week countdown....i needed that sodding countdown- i have 4-5 weeks left and dunno how im going to pay for the next one (grrr)

anyhoo- new week starting now lady :) and we're going to do awesome :) made some ss soup (wish i could send you some :( ) and apart from a piece of cake i'm planning on having on thursday night, i'm good to go!

meeting up with a friend saturday morning, but im sure i can find something free or very low syns where we're going :)

okies off i go to bed....sorry for rambling- its been one of those days.....a "curl up in a corner with my blankie" kinda day :(
 
Simple - Scales were wrong :p you have been way too good not to have lost.... or its the fact you're not eating right and body clinging onto what ever you give it... (((hugs)))

Hope you are feeling better today sweetie. Colds are horrid and just make you feel awful. Getting cold last night won't have helped :(

Morning everyone, thank you you are all so lovely, feeling a little better today, throat is still sore but head is starting to feel better, I hate headaches, can't handle them.
The weirdest thing of all last night about the scales was that most people put on 1.5lbs...that really made me think it wasn't just me...even my 2 daughters put on and they work really hard and do masses of walking and kick boxing, kelly put on 1.5 same as me and Kirsty put on 1lb but our 2 closest friends at group also put on 1.5lb each...very strange...but not going to dwell on it, will see how I do next week and if I feel there may be a problem I'll just pop to another group and ask them to weigh me ...but to be totally honest, it's not about the weight it's about the sizes...I am losing inches and I am definitely getting smaller so that's what counts.
I am going to disappear for a couple of hours now, I persuaded my neighbours son to sign up last night, he has learning difficulties so needs lots of support and I also said I would help him with some exercise as he is keen to get going, so I have devised an exercise workout for him, with my son in laws help and now it's time to put it into practice lol

Hi hun, wow today was very tiring, did almost 4 hours exercise myself I am aching but let's hope it's all been worth it.
Knocked for my neighbours son to help him with his exercise and there was no one in, so decided to get on and do my workout and had just finished it 2 and a quarter hours later when they got back. So Terry, (neighbours son) knocked and asked if it was still ok to do the exercise, couldn't say no could I ....so I ended up doing another 2 hours lol....mind you the 2nd two hours were a lot easier than what I do. He's a 19st lad that's never exercised before in his life..he did really well though and I was really chuffed with him and for him. He really wants to lose this weight and is so determined.
His mum is a 5ft 6 beanpole and I mean beanpole if you can find an ounce of fat on her I'd be surprised...and apparently she doesn't know how to cook, so had a good chat with Terry and her, printed off loads of recipes and have now signed myself up to teach Terry and her how to cook lol...am I a glutton for punishment ...yes...but he's such a sweet lad and I don't really mind would hate to see anyone so upset as he was when I was talking about losing weight and all he kept saying was how he wanted to do it so he can wear something nice, but I did tell him that if he signed up for this he is going to do it, no slouching and he has to learn to do it on his own cos I won't be there for him 24/7, learning difficulties or not he needs some independence.
Anyway I am now going to try and catch up with everyone and also put my Menu up....I was bloody starving today, must be all the exercise lol xx

Mid Morning:
2 x yellow plums
1 x crumble yoghurt 0.5 syns

Lunch:
Minestrone soup
Peach
Water (1 pint)

Mid Afternoon:
Banana
Orange
Water (1 pint)

Dinner:
Ham, Bean and Chip bake (from new SW magazine)
Large mixed salad
Water (1 pint)

Extras:
3 Ryvita 4.5 syns
5 Laughing Cow Light (Hexa)
Yoghurt 0.5 syns

Have done 4 hours and 15 mins exercise with 3 pints of water



Total for today = 12.5 syns

Thank you hun, but it's not hard to help someone who is so lovely and needs your help...we have lived next to them for 15 years and they have never given us one minute of trouble or distress. Terry likes to work on his car (his mum bought him a clapped out old banger to fiddle with), and you should hear the way the other neighbours talk and shout at him and threaten him cos he revs his engine all the time, I tried telling them, all you have to do is go ask him civilly to cut it out and he will stop but no they had to get nasty and don't allow him any slack even though he has learning difficulties.
His mum just bought me a huge bunch of flowers that's so sweet, what makes me laugh is my neighbour the other side is the neighbour from hell and gives me no end of grief, but because Terry's mum is a Goth they look at her and automatically think the worst and yet she is the loveliest person you could want to meet and Terry is her life.
To be honest I don't think Terry will ever understand the plan but I think his mum will eventually get it, but he is so keen to lose weight he's really ready to do anything we suggest.
He was saying to me today that he loves his chocolate and thinks he might struggle to give it up, so i suggested the Hi Fi bars, but he didn't like it, that makes 2 of us lol...so I suggested a 2 finger kit kat daily which I will work into his menu (yes he's asked me to draw up some menus said he feels he can stick to them better, how can i say no lol...so him and his mum went shopping and he just knocked to show me his 2 finger kit kat that he's going to have daily lol bless him.
Hun you are doing an amazing job, it's early days yet you'll get there too, I wish I hadn't done the extra 2 hours though can really feel it even if it was quite gentle to start with, tomorrow I am his Jillian Michaels lol
Jackie the bake was divine really yummy, was only me Mal and Kia (granddaughter) here for dinner tonight, Kirsty and Mark were at the outlaws for dinner...I made the recipe for 4 thinking maybe a bit for lunch tomorrow...no such luck, Kia and Mal scoffed that asked if there were any more and said when can we have it again, in fact Kia said can you make me some more for a midnight snack :8855:, so I'd say big success here lol xx

Hi Lily I didn't get woman of the year came second by 2 votes a well deserving woman who lost 6st in 2 years won it and she is going to the quarter finals, Lost 3.5lb got my 2st sticker, club 10 and sotw, so can’t grumble, I was chuffed to come second and be nominated there was 7 people who was nominated, thank you for your support.
