Sick of carrying 2 hitch hikers about, so this is my diary

Hi everyone,
Just had to come and tell you about my granddaughter Kia...I am proud of all my grandchildren and everything they do, but Kia has really made me so proud..she's a real little fighter.
Kia is my eldest daughter's middle child, the other 2 are as fit as fiddles, not so Kia...
From the time Kia was born she has spent probably a minimum of 1/3 of her life in hospital, she has chronic asthma, the slightest thing can set her off and wo-betide she should get a cold or chest infection, on top of that, she is covered from head to toe in eczema, that constantly weeps and bleeds. She is also dyslexic, but has had a break through, after watching the documentary on TV by Kara Tointon (she used to play Dawn Miller in Eastenders) about her struggle with dyslexia, my daughter took Kia to get her checked out as Kara had found that reading through a certain coloured plastic sheet (she had glasses made from the same colour plastic) helped her to decipher her reading and she could actually read better, so as I said my daughter did the same with Kia and it worked for her too, she now has green lenses to help her read.
Kia as I said before is a fighter she never lets anything get her down, she has a really sunny fun personality but is a real rough tough tomboy through and through, we got her to wear a dress ONCE lol
Anyway, after my 2 daughters took up kick boxing, Kia asked could she have a try as she in her words said "I can do that, it's easy" lol
So Yesterday, the class that Kelly and Kirsty go to had a CrossFace Kid'z Open Day and were giving awards for the best kids (this is run by some of the country's top MMA (mixed martial arts & kick boxing) experts in the whole of the UK...Kia won a handful of awards, David Lee the no1 trainer told my daughter they really wanted to give Kia all the awards as she was definitely the best, better than some of the kids they have been training for years, but they had to give awards to some of the other kids to encourage them to continue.
David Lee told Kelly to make sure Kia comes for training every week as she is an absolute natural and he feels that Kia could make a lot of money in Martial Arts if she decided to make it a career option...am so proud ...have put this picture up of Kia...this is her first attempt of a kick (David Lee is at the back right and said it was perfect and really powerful).
I am just so proud of her...just hope I don't upset her at any point in the future :8855:, but seriously, I could cry she just pushes herself all the time, odds are that next week she'll be in hospital again fighting for breath, but she never gives in and never moans...love her to bits and right now probably the proudest Nanna in the world xxxx

I think all our grandchildren makes us really proud of them, Kia sounds like a true fighter that nothing is going to stand in her way. xx

Wow, I see what the trainer means - she's got great form! It's wonderful when a child is a natural at something they enjoy. Look forward to hearing about further awards as she progresses :)

D'you reckon the sibling fighting will ease up a bit if they know Kia can kick their butts? :8855:

awww Kia :) I bet you are proud of her :D

hope having a lovely day Lily. I am not on here as much today as neck very sore and its hard enough to work online etc.... :( hoping it will ease soon. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi sweetie, I am really proud of all my grandchildren, but Kia is so brave and fights so hard and even with all the time she has off school with being in hospital or hospital visits, she's still a lovely child and very popular.
She went for her training tonight and was actually fighting the trainer (David Lee), he told Kelly that a few years down the line and he'll be in 2 minds whether to take her on ....said she was tough enough now and she's only just started lol That's my girl :8855:
Hope you're neck feels a bit better hun :bighug: , am having a lovely time with the kids ...going to be a busy weekend lol...they want to go out tomorrow and saturday...need to rest my feet I think lol. xxxx

Hi Jane,
Absolutely and so we should be proud of them all we've put lots of hard work into them. Kia is adorable, headstrong and quite confident in her abilities, You're right I don't think anything will stop her achieving everything she wants to xxxx

Hey Lo, she really has got the technique and the right personality and commitment I think too, I have no doubt there will be many more awards to come and I will update you as they happen.
I thought they might back off, but Kelsi said oh heck Kia is going to be kicking my butt but carried on winding her up...so in one word nope !! :giggle: she'll learn the hard way then lol xxxx

Hi Mandy thank you that's such a swet thing to say ,
I hope I am now, but I don't think I was a year or 2 ago...hopefully not to late and I haven't done too much damage, at least their at an age that everything can be turned around before it gets out of control like I was .
The kick boxing is turning into a family affair, my 2 son in laws started classes tonight and I am hoping to next year when I get nearer to my goal...the girls show me some of the exercises they do...oh boy do they hit where it hurts, you can really feel it....a year ago I would have run a mile but now I say bring it on lol
Kelsi and Jack were watching me do my weights workout tonight and Jack said Nanny, I can remember when you couldn't even lift a cup and now you can lift a mountain..I really laughed ...so sweet bless him xxx

just popping in to say hi Iron Lady ;) :bighug: hope you've had a fabby day and thanks for being there for me as always xxxxxxx

Hi sweetie, I did have a lovely day and was exhausted, so didn't get back on here before falling asleep, and have just had that lovely sleep shattered by my noisy neighbour partying, it's now 4.50am and I have been rudely woken up by her shannanigans. I thought we'd seen the back of all this it's been constant since she moved in 3 years ago and I reported her to the anti social behaviour team, as I had tried on several occasions to talk to her and get her to calm it down, all to no avail...well since they decided to take action she has been relatively quiet, but tonight has gone back to her old ways, she'll definitely be sorry though.
I am fuming. xxxxxxxxxxxx

:bighug: thats awful so been there.. Its awful when people are so inconsiderate of others. Our new neighbour is lovely thank goodness. He does have a dog that howls and barks when he goes out but that is nothing compared to the old neighbours so most of the time I just put up with it.

Hope you got some sleep sweetie :bighug: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope they ASBO the cow! Is she renting or is it her house? She'll get kicked out if it's rented and she keeps doing it.

Hope today is another fun day with the grandkids, depite the disturbed sleep x

Hi Hun, I did go back to bed until 2pm then my DD1 turned up for dinner and she has just left with the kids. Won't see them now for a fortnight, awww  I usually see them about 3 times a week so 2 weeks not seeing them will seem like an eternity
Hope you're having a great day xxx

:8855: I couldn't have put it better Lo, and the house is rented, the council and the anti social behaviour team have a complete dossier of her antics from the last 3 years and like I said I know for a fact she's had warnings...well be it on her own head cos I am sick of her and her antics...not only does she party ever weekend but she has 2 kids that are never there and on the odd occasions when they are, she screeches like a banshee at them from morning to night..don't get me wrong I have lost it with my kids and shouted at them, but this is not like that, it's constant, the only time there is any let up is when the poor kids are at school...and to top it all when she first moved in she told me she got kicked out of her last property cos of noise problems...well guess what ..lightening does strike twice!! xxxxxx

Absolutely adore those kids and will miss them so much...they made me breakfast this morning and I love the fact that they know how to eat healthily and how to cook stuff, yes cook, Kia is head chef at 10 years of age (11 in March), and they made me 2 sausages, scrambled eggs, bacon with the fat cut off (even Mal never remembers unless you tell him to lol) mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans and it was cooked perfectly...they are dead thoughtful like that bless them, don't know how we got so lucky.
You sweetie are :welcome: to stay any time you like and Mal will have to put up with it and if I know Mal that'll mean more work or more fishing :giggle: xxx
