Sick of carrying 2 hitchikers, Part 2....1 down 1 to go !!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to being so busy there's no way I could possibly still be working. Think I've pretty much decided now. :D

Well I must have been really pooped yesterday, I fell asleep about 1 this morning, did go to bed when I said I was going to, but just laid there watching TV, and only woke at 11.30 this morning...can't actually remember the last time I slept 10+ hours in one hit, but feel good today apart from the fact I can't stop sneezing and my nose is running, hope this isn't another cold but more the end of the last one :fingerscrossed:
Well I am now going to write my menu for today and get on with a bit of tidying up, got the house to myself for a few hours...Mal has deliberately gone out to let me have a bit of free time...thank god and then I am going to have a long lazy soak in the bath and really pamper myself and then we are off to Kelly's tonight, she apparently feels like she is ready to resume our cards nights ...so I hope you all have a fab day and don't do anything I wouldn't ...which basically gives you a free rein :8855: and I will catch up with you all tomorrow ...TTFN xxx:hug99:xxx

Well today has been a weird one, woke this morning with a nose bleed and pounding headache, took my blood sugars and they are over 12 :eek: not been that high in years....but was reading in my book that the blood sugars are most likely down to having this virus ...I hope so.
As for the nose bleed, not had one like that since I was on the full dose of Acitretin, even though my doc pushed them back up I have dropped them again to a lower more manageable dose as I was sore all over and my mouth, tongue and lips were so bad I couldn't open my mouth not even to drink...still I see my specialist again on Wednesday, so we'll see what she has to say...also going to insist she sends me for an allergy test, see if we can rule anything out :fingerscrossed:...Anyways hope you're having a lovely relaxing Saturday ...take care my lovelies xxx:hug99:xxx

One of the joys of being on steroids for so many years, a shot to pieces immune system, am hoping that taking the probiotics everyday will help that to improve :fingerscrossed:

So today I have some good news (for me that is ) and bad ....I found out last night the sausages I eat are not the 1 syn each that I thought they are just 0.5 syns each :woohoo: but I have forgotten to add the Yakult that I drink everyday as well as the probiotic tabs and the Yakult is 1.5 syns that I haven't counted so time to adjust my menus lol .

OMG just made the porridge oats pancakes ..made with 35g Porridge oats, 1 Mullerlight yogurt (I used toffee), mix well, leave in fridge for at least 4 hours but preferably overnight, take out add sweetener to your own personal taste and then add 3 eggs and beat. Put a half a ladel in a hot non stick frying pan and cook for a few minutes then flip over and cook the other side, I just had 2 drizzled with 1 syn worth of golden syrup for a total of 3 syns and still got loads left for tomorrow :drool: they were amazing yummmmyyyy xxx:hug99:xxx

Now to adjust my menu for today lol xxx

Hey Em, the pancakes were really lovely, just had them for brekkie made 6 small ones, have to be careful when frying that the pan is really hot, you can use frylight but I found they cooked just as well without it, but try not to turn them too quick, need to wait till they are almost bubbling then they flip easy, but they were gorgeous, just drizzled a spoonful of golden syrup and had thick fromage frais, a banana and mixed berries, they were bleddy divine...made them with the toffee yogurt rather than the plain vanilla yum yum yum is all I can say ...Made a nice change from my usual breakfasts xxx:hug99:xxx

Pancakes look and sound yummy. Is it blue or red yakult you take? Do you think the probiotics are helping any yet. I think mine might be working a bit but with all the AB's I've had recently they have a long way to go. You will no doubt be the same with the steroids and AB's you've had to take. Here's hoping we both get better with something so relatively simple. :D

I take the blue Yakult they are lower in syns, not sure if that's actually a good thing though....I'm not totally sure but I feel like they might be making a slight difference, but after just 3 weeks I'll give it another good month or so before I make up my mind fully.

That's the problem, isn't it ...we take all the good stuff like the Yakult, which to be honest is so sweet it makes me wanna puke lol, but are they actually doing any good while we are still on heavy doses of steroids and AB's...only time will tell.

I know one thing for sure, giving up smoking 3 years ago (come 19th March) was the best thing I ever did, when I used to get Bronchitis even with AB's it would last for months, this time 3 weeks, still got a little sniffly cold but nothing that's bothering me unlike the hacking cough of the Bronchitis...so there's one bonus for me .

Take care lovely and I really hope you've made the right decision with regards to the redundancy....I can honestly say money's definitely not everything and you do learn to adapt ...so much so that this year I am actually starting to save again, small amounts to start with but by the end of the year should see some bigger amounts :woohoo: xxx
 
I'm on the blue yakult to which is reduced sugar (but probably more sweeteners) I read that even if you're on AB's they do help but you're supposed to leave as long as possible between AB's etc to take probiotics. ie if AB's night and morning take probiotic midday. Makes sense I suppose as AB's activity will be half gone and gives you as long as possible for the probiotics to work before being killed off by next AB. I'm of the opinion that for a few quid it's worth a try.

I'm still not sure VR is right but on balance I think I can't pass it up. Terms are good atm but subject to change after June this year and rumours about of terms going to 2 wks for each yr rather than 4. The work environment has really deteriorated recently too with outsourcing and office politics and I frankly can't be ar$ed with it all any more. I'll just have to live quiet and get on with using all the hobby stuff I already own. I do have enough for at least three lifetimes as it is. :D
