Skulldilocks Food diary

Sounds like you're knackered! Food sounding yummy even though you're short on money. It's so hard to think of meals when sticking to a budget isn't it :( x

I know! I spend the day on Instagram and here seeing all these amazing recipes, but buying pork, EL mince, chicken etc gets so expensive so we have to really plan it out in order to afford it. Once payday comes round, Im tempted to get the taste of asia book and treat us to a couple of things in there. Feel at a loose end what with being away at the weekend again, normally Id be getting m food plan all ready for Thursday morning.

I bought the Asia book and truth be told I've not made anything from it! I'm absolutely rubbish. It's when I look at recipe books and they have such a long list of ingredients in the recipes it just instantly makes me think I can't be assed with it. I'm useless lol.

extra lean mince and stuff is extortionate. I made Chris and I the burgers on Saturday and fed us both from 1 pack of mince but if we had more people to feed that would get mega expensive! I still live at home so only making the burgers when everyone is out and only me and Chris to feed lol my mam did buy a massive joint of beef from asda though it was about a tenner and she cut it in half so it'll feed 5 people each time. You could get one and cut it into 3/4 bits? Something to have in the freezer for the end of the month skintness xx

Right so its weigh in day, but I will not be getting weighed. Despite having 3 weeks left of my 12 week countdown, I shan't be going tonight. The weekend has officially caught up with me and I feel dreadful, coldy fluey stuff! Its a 30 min walk to my class (I don't drive) and I feel its best I stay in the warm as much as possible in a last minute attempt to get rid before another fun weekend. This has also been (TMI) my heaviest star week I can ever remember and despite water and red days I feel SO bloated and have done all week. I don't want to scupper any motivation. So I am on plan, back on Extra Easy this week. Food delivery will come tomorrow morning (despite the fact we then leave for London Thurs-Sat) but its mostly frozen stuff so will be fine. Tonight's dinner is bound to be a thrown together meal with whatever is in the cupboards.

WEDS EE: Very aware of lacking in SF, but cupboards be bare!

Breakfast: 2 Weetabix with skimmed milk and 2 teas with sweetener (HEX A & B)
Lunch: Mugshot, apple (SF), Mullerlight yoghurt
Dinner: SW potato wedges, Quorn sticky chilli fillet, Roasted red onions in frylight (SF), 1 tbsp. low salt ketchup (0.5 syns)
Other: 2 litres water, 2 green tea, 1 Options hot choc with milk (3 as counting milk as syn)
Total syns: 3.5

Keeping syns low as its going to be eating out a lot at the weekend. Bodeans will be an off plan day, but the rest I plan to keep low, even if we are at Wetherspoons or whatever :)

That looks like a green day too me, everything i can see is free on green anyway, so could use that milk as part a healthy a in your hot choc:)

This is true! I always feel bad swapping my days around but it doesn't affect losses does it? I always got told if you do a week it should be all EE or green/red?
Maybe I'll have a couple of cheeky Hifis as my second HEX B too this eve :)

I've always mix mine, doesnt seem to make any difference whether i do all ee, red or green, red and green or a combo

Sooo hungry! Wish I'd thought of having 2 HEx's and making it a green day as could've brought a Hifi bar with me to work. Will probably have one when I get in while dinner is cooking and then one later with my hot choc :D Just remembered we have some EL cream so will have that meaning my total syns today will still be 3.5 syns on a GREEN DAY :)
1 hour til the weekend woohoo!

Wooo, its ace when you find out you can extra food :)

Hey lovely! I found your diary :)

Just popping along to subscribe. You've given me so much comfort and support lately and I hope I can do the same for you too. I know we're both finding things quite tough at the moment, but I know we can power through it (PTI - one of my fave motto's of the moment!)

Your food for today looks gorgeous. A great first day back at it, well done! Fingers crossed that tomorrow will be just as successful, one day at a time xx

I've only ever been able to find Extra Lean mince in a big Sainsbury's but it's in the 3 for £10 offer there for a big 450g (I think) pack which we usually get about 4 portions of spag bol out of! In which case it's about £1 per serving which could be worse! I like to pad it out with loooads of onions and grate a carrot in too and then it goes even further.
I've been getting bacon from Poundland as that helps towards a cheaper red day too! But I agree- meat and especially fish is so expensive :(

That's totally not the case! From what I've heard you can just mix the days about as much as you like- people throw in a few Red days to get extra losses but it's a day-by-day choice, not weekly! In fact, I'm pretty sure the idea is that the more variation in what you eat, the better your losses...
I try to do between 1-3 Red days each week, 2-3 green and any lazy days as EE. I've never been one to plan things and find it much easier to decide what I want to eat on the day- so some days don't change from EE until dinner as I stick to foods that are allowed all around and then decide to make it green if I want extra Hex's or EE if I want meat for dinner, etc. Anyway- I could be wrong but I'm 95% sure SW encourages you mix and match the days as you please! My best losses have been on weeks I've mixed all 3 plans rather than sticking to just EE!

I'm back! have had limited access to the computer whilst the bank holiday was on so haven't been able to update but I'm back in the horrid routine of work now. As planned I had my flexi syn day on Friday which was lovely, however I then had another one on Saturday. And Sunday. I would list everything here in an honest attempt but I wouldn't want you all to start salivating at all the naughtiness! I have kept it written down to look back and get angry at myself! its weigh in tonight and I will be attending to see the damage of the last two weeks. I'm expecting like 5lbs gained. But I know this HAS to stop. Iam going to the doctors in a couple of weeks to sort out my anxiety and hopefully all this will help it fall into place. I have aso joined a gym opening about 10 mins walk from my house. There was a pre-opening offer on that means its only a tenner a month, with all the classes included! only problem is they haven't given an exact opening date so I just have to wait and see. Until then though, I need to get back into the walking habits before I started using the cold as an excuse. Normally I use Wednesday as treat day but today is the start of a GOOD week

Weds EE:
Cupboards are bear, as we were away at weekend so didn't want to get too much fresh food, so superfree is lacking but will pop to Tesco after Weigh in.

Total syns: 9 syns
Body magic: 40 mins walking

I doubt anyone was on plan over weekend, or not on plan properly at least

The treat day on Friday was planned and I was doing so well, yes we had a big dinner and I had booze, but I stuck to vodka diet coke all night and didn't give in to kebabs on the way home, but chips at nandos and a pizza on Sunday due to no food in the house was just plain silly!!!
Line has been drawn, ready to feel the wrath of the scales tonight!
Looking forward to buying the new mag and getting some inspiration! x

Good luck for weigh in tonight! The scales may not be as bad as you think - fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: xx

haha thanks, I'm just expecting the worst in the hope that then I'm pleasantly surprised! I had a lucky escape with a weigh in a couple of weeks back getting 3.5 off despite being totally off plan so not expecting any more luck! either way whatever I put on I plan to lose next week! X
