Skulldilocks' Slimming World Diary Part II

Morning :) So, as you can see I has a 100% weekend and I'm feeling good :D On Friday I went to a gig in London and avoided the temptations of station fast food. Saturday me and the other half had a chilled day in and got an Indian. I ordered chicken Dhansak for the first time and really enjoyed it and actually weighed it out too! I was happily surprised to find I could have the whole portion apart from a bit of sauce and felt content without feeling too full. Kieran actually stuck to it too and only ordered rice and his main. Normally he'll get that, onion bhaji and mushroom bhaji. It was a revelation for him realising he can enjoy a takeaway without feeling disabled after :giggle:

Yesterday we went to Oxford for the evening for yes, another gig (3 this week, I am deaf!) and did well again. We made the spicy beef and red pepper stew from the All In One book which was a lovely filling lunch. I wasvery hungry by the time we were travelling home so I had to grab something from the train station so got some sushi :)

Making another new recipe tonight - the bacon and spinach fusilli from the new EE Express book so looking forward to that. Going swimming tonight too, I just cannot get into the gym, its SO boring!

Monday EE Day:

Breakfast:

35g Coco Shreddies with skimmed milk (part HEX A)
Banana
2x tea with rest of milk (part HEX A) and sweetener

Lunch:

Leftover spicy beef and pepper stew - chopped toms (S), peppers (S), onions (S)
Salad (S) and cucumber (S)
Apple (S)

Mullerlight vanilla yog

Dinner:
Bacon and spinach (S) fusilli with added onions (S) and mushrooms (S)
Salad leaves (S) and cucumber (S)

Other:
Mini choc party rings (5.5)
Asda skips (4.5)

Total syns: 10

And eeek more exciting news! As you guys have probably guessed I do music journalism on the side of my 9-5 job. Today I found out that a full length feature article I wrote about my favourite band after interviewing them is out now and currently on the shelves of WHSmiths. WOOO :D

Haha, the magazine I write for is called Iron Fist and the band are called Behemoth, they're huge in Poland but not so much here, I have a rather niche taste in music :p x

your take away did look lovely the other night, I've never tried dhansak. Hope he spinach and bacon fusilli is nice could be one for me to make! Xx

Thanks all, I've been published quite a bit but not with such a big band/feature. I'm still yet to see it in the flesh eek!
I ended yesterday feeling sooo rough - I had a headache/earache from hell and the worst day at work so I skipped off swimming as I got home late as it is. It was the typical mood for a binge and I needed to go to Tesco to grab a couple of bits. I was so tempted to grabs some donuts or chocolate but I resisted and stuck to what I needed, apart from the new salted caramel green tea to try. I was so grateful I had pasta planned for dinner as I was craving stodge and the recipe was nice. I added a little bit of fromage frais to moisten it a bit and some extra veg.

I've woken up today with the answer to my mood last night -star week has arrived. WHYYY?! WHY must it always come either just before or on weigh day :( It better not ruin my 100% week, I would normally have red days to balance is out but I had everything planned for EE. Now to just resist the choc cravings :( Dance aerobics with mother tonight.

Tuesday EE Day:

Breakfast:

35g Coco shreddies (HEX B) with skimmed milk (HEX A)
Banana
2x tea with rest of milk and sweetener

Lunch:
Bacon and spinach (S) fusilli with added onions (S) and mushrooms (S)
Apple (S)
Chicken skewers (S) with peppers (S) and onions (S)

Mini caramel egg (2.5)
Mini toffee crunch choc fingers (5.5)

Really want to try that fusilli recipe! Have liked the sound of it since I got that book! X
Its soooo easy and quick! At first I was kinda worried it would be bland as there isn't much too it but the richness of the bacon and spinach paired with quite a lot of chilli flakes in the recipe makes it work :) x

Thanks Stevie. I guess the way I have to see it is even if star week does stop a loss tomorrow, I've had 2 weeks binge free and on plan so there has been an achievement! :)
 
Well the day is here, I feel so bloated and upset. I've been so good I just want like half a lb loss so that I beat star week! I asked for 3lbs off this week which would've been possible without mother bloody nature but alas we'll wait and see. Today is a bit weird, I'm not having a cheat after weigh so to speak but kind of am. I'm having 2 As and Bs today but cant have red or green lol. Better than a kebab though!

Wednesday EE Day:

Breakfast:

35g coco shreddies (HEX B) with skimmed milk (HEX A)
Banana

Lunch:
Chicken skewers (S) with onions (S) and peppers (S)
Mullerlight yog

Dinner:
Nandos chicken (0.5) in a WW pitta (HEX B) with cheese slices (HEX A), SW chips and salad (S)

Oreo ice cream cone (10)
Strawb swirl biscuits (5)

Total syns: 15.5

Oh also not SW related but I'm too excited so must share. We're getting another tortoise :D Figured it would be nice for Chuck to have a friend (plus I'm just completely obsessed) This one is a different breed, but more exotic and only three months old. Its the size of an oreo! EEEEK :D
