Hi!

Happy birthday, anniversary and happy bday to your daughter too :-D. I am glad to hear you are feeling better and hope your daughter is too.

Let me know how the soup turned out. I am back on my schlank im schlaf (insulin related diet) so will need to be eating Atkins style dinners from now on.

Broccoli and Stilton soup was gorgeous! Even husband loved it and that is saying something!
Boiled load of broccoli with chopped spring onions, bouquet garni in water with lots of mixed herbs, salt and black pepper, once broccoli cooked added crumbled Stilton, added more black pepper and whizzed in blender, so simple and delicious
 
Ohh - defo going to make that! Thank you for sharing the recipe. What quantity of broccoli and Stilton (approx) did you use?

Oh dear I'm not good weighing and measuring just tend to throw what I have into the pot! Used about four broccoli heads and chunk of Stilton crumbled up!
Today :-
B flax porridge with sweetener ( really enjoying it)
L creamy courgette soup
D salmon fillet with cauli and cabbage
 
i am the same, thats probably why i have not put my saag aloo alike recipe on there yet lol
 
Just made broccoli & Stilton soup - YUMMY! Haven't had it for ages and it was perfect on this miserable day. Thanks for reminding me of it.
 
I couldn't get hold of any Stilton today :-(
They don't seem to sell it in my local supermarket so I picked up some gruyere instead and will try it with that tomorrow x
 
Hi Jane, I like it with any blue cheese or strong tasting cheese, I made courgette soup this morning and I think that would be lovely with gryere cheese ( is that how it's Spelt?)
 
I love soups! My neighbour is a fantastic cook and has brought round soup two days in a row :)

First one was pumpkin soup and yesterday was mushroom. I always have them lunch time as don't know if they are low carb or not!

Am going to make broccoli and gruyere/cheddar soup today. Will let you know how it goes!
 
Evening all
Food today- breakfast cheese and mushroom omelette, mayonnaise
Lunch - courgette soup
Tea - spicy prawns, fried cabbage
Snack - celery with peanut butter
Carbs 20g
Trying to be disciplined after week of celebrations ! :)
