Snow's healthy living ramblings

I lost 8.5 tonight! In shock. Was hoping for a good loss since I'm off the steroid but didn't expect to get all off in one go! Just hoping not to have the sort of rebound gain I sometimes have after a big loss.

I also got my platinum body magic award tonight.

I liked the creme egg - you can tell the chocolate is not as good but to be honest i am mostly in it for the fondant middle 0 so sweet it makes your teeth hurt! MMMM

I know. It is a relief to have the gain off though and now I am back to my lowest weight so it is all (hopefully) downwards from here!

Yeah the middle tasted exactly the same to me. It was worth the 8.5 syns :)

My other 4.5 I used up on dinner - I had 0.5 of barbeque sauce and 0.5 of extra light mayo and 2 syns of reduced fat coleslaw (probably over estimated here as OH ate most of it on his lunch)

I am assuming so Rosie as that is my biggest weekly loss ever on SW (I lost 8lb my second week and bizzarely enough 7.5lb on my birthday (so before I celebrated it and have a had a couple of 5/5.5lbs losses) I mean if the gain was steroid bloat I assume I would have had a loss anyway but I've never got steroid weight off that quickly before so can only assume SP helped. I have been told I would lose faster with low carb before as I have PCOS but I wouldnt' stick to it long term so much happier to use it as a boost now and again.

After all my talk of chips (in MC's thread I think?) and undersynning them I really wanted chip shop chips today (am off work) I am having a Green day so I just got a small portion of chips between me and OH. (No fish batter or otherwise) and then I weighed out 220g (14 syns) and gave OH the rest

Green day
B: Hifi light rhubarb and custard (0.5 HEB1) and an apple
L: 220g chip shop chips (14 syns)
D: Slow cooker veggie chilli and rice with HEA cheese, strawberries for pud.

Snacks
Apple, clementine, plum
Hifi light (0.5 HEB1)

Thinking about trying a slimming world donut with a wholemeal roll for my other HEB with sweetner and using my remaining syns on jam or nutella in the middle.

Oh wow! Well done! Such an amazing loss! :D super proud of you. :)

I've still not had the chips lol :p

Thanks MC - It was a shock to get such a good loss but a nice one! Now at my lowest ever adult weight again (that I am aware of given my scales avoidance for many years so anything from here is an improvement. Hoping to get to 5 stone by my SW anniversary in March.

Green day today (mainly as having veggie chilli again for tea so may as well go with that)

B: Fat free yoghurt, apple pear
L: Celery and sweetcorn soup, bread bun (80g so HEB1 plus 2 syns) plus 2 southern fried quorn burgers (5) and 0.5 syns of EL mayo and 0.5 of tabasco chipotle (0.5) 8 syns
D: veggie chilli with HEA1 of cheddar and 50g of philli light ( part of HEA2) plus either rice or sw chips, aldi greek coconut yoghurt for pudding

Snacks
SW donut (HEB2 plus 4 syns 2 for jam, 2 for extra bread)
100 ml skim milk for coffees (part of HEA2)
plum
clementine
Syns
8 for lunch
4 for donut
8 left!

My stats say I'm 7.5lbs off but I'm 10.5 lbs off with Slimming world Rosie as I lost 3lb before I started (which I won't let go haha) My anniversary is 12 March so I doable either way I hope.

A slimming world donut is a wholemeal bun so HEB - you just poke a hole in it and put your jam in the middle and then spray it with frylight and sprinkle with granulated sweetner and pop in the oven for 10 minutes. You only have to syn the jam - some people do it with nutella for a chocolate donut.

Ahh good luck, I'm sure you won't need it!
I think my sw anniversary will be around now actually- I started before my mums birthday (22nd Feb) but not straight after I got home from Thailand (23rd Jan). I don't think I joined mins til March though.
The donut sounds lovely with jam- I love a jam sandwich anyway so will give it a go next time I have wm buns :) x

Haven't eaten anything today as we had to put our cat Lexi to sleep this morning. It was really really hard but he had cancer and the vet said there was nothing more to do. I have been in big denial that it would come to this and really don't want to fall into a comfort eating trap but can't really focus on food planning and stuff and then I also feel awful just even thinking about diets and stuff when he is gone.

Thank you guys. I'm really struggling with missing him and one of our other cats is his littermate and they've never been apart and she's wandering round looking for him and that's really hard to watch too.

SP day today though it has worked out more P at the moment which isn't good.
B: 2 apples (S)
L: ham and pease pudding sandwiches (P plus both HEBs) salad and plums (S)
D: Bacon no fat, beans, sausages (3 syns)

Syns
chocolate 9
skips 4

That's so sad snow. You're doing really well to stay on plan, keep it up if you can!
We rescued two horses about 5 years ago that had always been together. One died quite suddenly about three years ago and it was so sad watching the remaining one (Max) trying to find his buddy, it made me cry for him.
Hopefully he'll find peace soon and settle, lots of cuddles & treats? X

Aw Rosie that must have been hard.

I am back at work today so taking my mind off it at least,

I love the SW pulled pork so easy and so nice. (Pork joints were on offer in alid a while ago and I have about 3 still in the freezer so it will be a regular on the menu.

She is a bit brighter - we gave her loads of treats yesterday and that seems to have distracted her a bit!
