Snow's healthy living ramblings

My OH is mostly oblivious but he doesn't mind meat subsitutes anyway. We did this thing a couple of years ago where we decided to only eat organic meat which was expensive so we ate veggie half the time but now food prices mean we don't do that anymore as the rpice of food has gone up so much anyway but now eating veggie quite a lot on slimming world.

I probably would swim more as it would be so much easier to get to the pool. That said I am not sure where I would getting the money for this car anyway.

Love the term "corgetti" Snow!!

Ive noticed you have those John West light lunches quite often- can you let me know the syns of the varieties? Just noticed the Sainsbury by work sells them and they may help me stop straying towards pre-packaged sandwiches!

Haha I love it too. I am easily amused!

The light lunches. I only ever get two the moroccan salmon is just 1 syn ( this is the only salmon I believe) and the Mediterranean tuna is 4.5 syns. I would love to try the mexican tuna one as it's only 2.5 but I've yet to track it down. The others are 5.5-7 syns which is just a bit more than I'm willing to spend syn wise on a ready meal/lunch but is at least lower than most prepacked sandwiches!

The salmon one is really nice but the mediterrean one is my favourite because trust me to like the higher syn one. I've had the french one (it's not as nice as the med one because the potato in it is weird but I checked and it's actully the one that is 5.5 and then the others are 7. Let me know what the mexican one is like if you try it!

No it hasn't got pastry it's like slimming world quiche - its really just the middle of a corned beef pie (the syns are just for the corned beef) but it's nice! i have never had cheesey chips - I was thinking I could make some broccoli cheese to add some more superfree as it's mainly just the pickles there that are superfree on dinner,

Here is a pic of a previous time I had it.

Hmm my OH has just texted to say he won't be in until 11:30 so I might make something that's easier to reheat (the corned beef reheats fine but i think slimming world chips are rubbish reheated.)

I quite fancy this https://slimmingtogether.wordpress.com/2014/01/12/authentic-beef-in-black-bean/ and Oyster sauce is free now so only syns for corn flour! but I will have to see if I can get some fermented black beans on the way home (we have a really good chinese supermarket in town but not sure what time it is open until.

I ended up having milk for my HEA for a change I bought a skimmed milk milk shake from the canteen which was 200mls and added a 100ml of skim milk from the milk I share with a colleague. (he is a coffee fiend and goes through 2 2 ltrs a week and I chip in occassionally so I can have some on the off occassion I feel like a coffee as I don't like it black he says I don't have to as I drink so little but if I don't then I feel like I have to ask) The milk shake was 90 calories, 200ml skim milk is 70 so I am going to count that as my HEA plus 1 syn.

To be completely fair to slimming world chips, all chips are rubbish reheated :)

I have located fermented black beans and also chuffed because the had fuji apples which I live but never see so some extra superfree for me :)on the bus home now

You can eat it all - there are no core or seeds and the skin is edible. I tend to quarter them and eat in chunks just because weirdly if i bite straight into them I expect there to be a core or something because they are apple shaped and i find it off putting.

EE Today Complete change from planned day mind - i decided I really liked the salmon light lunch for breakfast - some protein early on and saving me HEB for some Hifi lights
B: Salmon Light lunch (1 syn) banana, fuji apple, plum
L: Heinz spag bol (3 syns) banana, fuji apple, plum
D: Not sure if going to make cornbeef pie with chips and beans or salmon with chips and veg
Snacks
BBQ Pops 4.5
2 hifi lights (HEB)
Strawberries

I'm an idiot and brought the wrong tin of spag to work so had one that was 9 syns! I have changed my mind about tea again and planning on doing chicken pizza, chips and salad.

I know! Never mind - I really enjoyed it, I love tinned ready meals even though they are probably full of crap. Will make sure i have Heinz in future.

I changed dinner again last night and had nando's chicken and used the rest of my syns on the marinade and the low fat mayo with the salad.

Today I am trying SP again.
B: Porridge Oats (HEB1) and 2 apples
L: Ham (P)and pease pudding (P)and pickles (S) and carrot sticks (S) and salad (S)
D: Cornbeef pie which I am going to try omitting the smash from and add extra onion to make it just S and P, beans (P) pickles (S) and some roast carrot (S)

Snacks
Weetabix Ferroro rocher (HEB2 plus 4 syns for nutella)
Strawberries

Syns
3.5 corn beef
