Sophie's Slimming World and Cinema critiques!

Go to the cinema and tell me what the film's like :p

So that you know not to bother going if I love the film? ;) hahaha

Hi Jodie!
I cant remember the last time I was this excited as i am for Florida :D anything to particularly recommend out there? We are staying in Orlando. I think I am most excited about he Harry Potter stuff in Universal, and of course the Magic Kingdom!

Never been that side of Florida! My mom lives in Tampa Bay which I think is on the opposite coast lol! The food is huge though.. their regular McDonald's is our large etc. If you do ever eat fast food and there is one near, Checkers is a gorgeous lil place to go.. their fries and quadruple stacked burger was worth the possible heart attack it could cause, lmao!

Haha! Am going to be sticking to about 80% on plan as possible so will probably avoid there- sounds tooo good!
Will be having such an awesome time at all of the parks and whatnot that hopefully eating lots if salads etc shouldnt feel too painful, though my family and bf will be eating burgers galore!

Went to camden today and found a couple of holiday boob tubes. Not quite maxi length but I do like them (though didnt get to try them on until home and didnt love them on as much as I hoped  but still- at least I have fairly cool stuff now, my uk clothes would be waaay too sweaty).

G and I shared a sushi box and a chinese box- had about 4 pieces of chinese chicken (sweet and sour) and a few fork fulls of noodles, maybe 7 syns? Wasnt anywhere near the 8 syns of a proper take away s&s portion but did have noodles too. Feel so naughty to have had that even though it was barely a half portion :/
Had two pieces of salmon nigiru sushi too.

EE:

B- fruit/yog
L- steak, onions, spinach salad, +1 for honey, 1/2 hexB olive oil
D- half chinese take away box as described above (7?) and two pieces of salmon nigiri sushi (1)

Boob tubes just... I don't know! I think the shirred boob tube part wasn't as long as I expected, I like it when it clings to my waist but it stops a bit higher than waist so flares out where I normally dip in. I wore one today with a waist belt and it was OK, just didn't like it as much as I expected to!

Felt lots of urges for naughty foods today... funny because I haven't really felt that until recently after exposing myself to a few meals out (2x harvester, mexican and mini chinese + a few small cookies 'n cream kitkats) and suddenly it's like my sugar levels are back up and craving more? Not sure how legit that is but I definitely am more itchy for sugar and junk. Feels like I've been 'clean' for a while and not missed it but after being exposed to it am now getting withdrawal :p lolz.

I tried to keep it fairly low syn today though in attempt to save up for birthday picnic, but damn woman at subway put WAY too much sauce on my salad- I asked for 'lots of sauce' while I paid for it with the other guy and turned around and she had literally coated the whole top of it with a thick layer :| like.. WUT? I love my sauces but it was way too much and was eating it in the cinema so couldn't like mop some off :( will have to extra syn it and it wasn't even nice, FFS!

Getting stressed about putting off editing this video and running low on time, but HAD to go into town today to sort out new glasses before trip- mine are falling apart, literally are going to be unwareable any minute so wanted to sort that out before I went and if I didn't do it today there was no chance they'd be ready by Sunday. I found some frames I like though, yay :D went for fairly big and dark frames, sort of 'tortoise shell' look, browny patchy ones, very similar to G's actually LOL we're going to look like siblings. My friend already commented that we're starting to look like each other... eh? haha
Am a specsavers customer so did the BOGOF deal; the ones I liked happened to be the cheapest ones they do :S £45, but the BOGOF deal was only for £69 and up ones, or instead of a free one you could get a free anti-reflection thing which I DESPERATELY need- last time didn't get it and have suffered the reflection of my laptop/tv screens while editing for 3 years because of that choice, grr. Anyway, because the £45 pair were too cheap for the free anti glare deal I'd have to pay £30 for the anti glare :S meaning it cost MORE than getting a more expensive pair. Wut? Anyway, worked out that since the second pair I liked were £69 I could get those, get the first pair as the free option and pay £30 for the glare... effectively getting a second pair of glasses for £25 compared to original option, so went for that :D like the second pair also; they are thinner frames and black, slightly interesting shape (woman at till said 'retro').

SO yeah, HAD to go into town to do that and then went to a film after as, y'know... two birds... But that didn't help the lack of editing situation!

Cinema: Now You See Me 8/10

Loved it :D it was interesting, fast, creative and had lots of interesting twists. I loved the cast! I frigging love Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher and Woody Harrelson (and, ofc, Morgan Freeman) and they were perfect. Jesse had his usual witty lines that I just adore.
The film is about magicians committing crimes in really creative ways; some of the stunts were a bit 'meh' because it was obviously CGI and you want to see it for real to be impressed, but a lot of the stuff was pretty cool and I had goosebumps at one point!
The only criticism I have about it is that the film followed the cops a bit too much rather than the witty and awesome magicians; the second half was way too dedicated to 'solving the mystery' where at the start we got to see the crimes happening etc and thus got to see cool magic/creativity/awesome cast. Would have preferred more of that in the second half (def wanted more Jesse Eisenberg!)
Definitely recommend this one :D get the vibe that most people would like it!

Did a cheeky mid week WI :p Oh, I suck at resisting them! -1lb :) one more pound and I'll have hit the 60% mark to my goal, two more pounds and I'm in the 15s :D eee.

I've decided that while in Florida I'm going to ask for scales in my room and weigh myself every day to scare me into going to the hotel gym and not getting too loose about plan :p
x

Yay for the extra 1lb off :D You're on fire at the moment ;)

Oh! I loved the film too :D I went to see it on Tuesday. I was very pleasantly surprised. I'd not seen any trailers and only knew the vague storyline. But I really enjoyed it! And I do love Mark Ruffalo a little bit ;)

Finally, a film we both like :D

No way did you like it too :O haha, BLASPHEMY!
I just frigging love everyone who's in that film, brilliantly cast :D

Ok, finally got in a super low syn day to save up a bit for Sat, woohoo! But anyway, I'm going to get plastered and even have a few nibbles of these beautiful looking brownie and flapjack bites I bought from Morrisons bakery- the brownies are 3 syns each (60cal) and the Flapjacks are 4 syns each (80cal) so I will probably have a couple of each on top of my booze fest... But whatever! IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL CRY (at the scales on Monday) IF I WANT TO!
Not too fussed about my reset mini goal of getting into the 15's... I already pwnd my original mini goal so I am going to have a treat bday picnic and whatever. Pretty psyched because about 20 people have confirmed they're coming since I made the (private to avoid family members showing up) event a few days ago on fb :O didn't realise I had that many friends.

Tomorrow will be a low syn day too in anticipation for Sat, then Sunday will hopefully be a low syn detox day and Monday we're off to Florida!

Actually got some editing done today, phew!

Actually, I'm not really a drunky muncher luckily! In fact usually the opposite- I don't like mixing food and booze. However, I bought SO many nice bits that I might just cave a bit tomorrow :p I'm going to let myself have a few, I deserve a break!

Also, I decided I wanted cider instead of vodka! I really love cider in the summer and I really fancied it so I bought some magners (8 for £8 at Sainsbury's, woo! Will share them though ;) hehe) 4 or 5 of those will have me plastered (230cal for 568ml bottle = 11.5 syns each) which probably works out the same sort of syns as the amount of vodka I'd have anyway. The added bonus of drinking cider is ANYTHING sweet/tasty makes the cider taste CRAP so I will be less likely to gorge on the chocolate brownie bites and melting choc chip cookies etc ;)
I will have a very light lunch also, so I can get drunk quicker :p also because I feel a bit sick when I drink too close to a meal, so that works out well too.

Didn't eat much at all today :O well, skipped dinner and made myself not enough pasta for lunch so had a sandwich a bit later, but still... Strange of me to skip dinner!

GREEN (aww yea!)

Felt so nice having pasta! Really cool that it has become a treat even though it is a free food :D today didn't feel like a diet at all, despite only 2 syns, whaaa?! So I have 40 saved plus tomorrow's 15, that just about covers 5 Mangers' (though as I've barely been drinking recently it probably won't take me as much to get drunk- depends how long we're out there though as starting at 3pm... 1 cider per hour I guess!)

I have two more boxes of 59p (usually £2) raspberries that I'll bring tomorrow and pick at too I think. Hadn't really thought to bring low syn picnic items for me  had only been thinking about everyone else- doh! Should have got some carrot sticks, dammit! I have those little chickpea bites in the fridge still and will chop up a red pepper and maybe grab some carrot sticks on the way (might even make some syn free houmus if I have time, but didn't find it that great last time I attempted it :p)

Looking forward to tomorrow now- about 25 people are coming :| though probably half of them will bail and they'll come at scattered times so it won't feel like many :p I don't have that many friends, not sure how this has happened!

Got a LOT of editing done today :D yay! Then mentioned to G how I might bring one of my acoustic guitars to the picnic so people can pass it around and be merry, and he decided it an appropriate time to give me my early bday present (since we'll be away and he can't pack it) - an Ukulele!! :D:D:D it's soooo cool!
Anyway, I spent 2 hours playing that instead of finishing editing, doh. I did learn two songs though :D it's so fun! Needs re-tuning a LOT though, might have to tighten the screws at the back a bit.
Have been playing this song: Amanda Palmer - The Ukulele Anthem (Occupy Wall Street 10/12 NYC) - YouTube which is the reason he got me a Ukulele in the first place :D I showed him that and was like "I WANT ONE!"
Give it a listen, it's so funny!

Had a great bday picnic :D had about 3 or 4 ciders over numerou hours and realised I wasnt getting drunk enough so had some soco too  ate a few bits of nibbles and such but was fairly good considering I didnt.have lunch or dinner. Bought grapes, cherries and strawberries so had them :D
About 30 people showed up! Was a bit overwhelming lol, but it was nice!

Am in Florida now :D enjoying the foood! But sticking to healthy options and lots of fruit. Mixing the plans up a bit but whatever :p
Cant get any scales in room so no.weighing- morning before.flight at 5am weighed in at +1, but it was much earlier than usual and meh :p

Went to disney today :D looveee it there! Dad was rushing us about and got tired quickly, he wanted to get lots of rides in early before the park filled up but he haste spoilt the magic a little. We have a 2 week pass to all the parks so will go back another time to dawdle and take pictures and gift shop ;)
Just did a half day with the intention to return later when the crowd died in the eve but torrential rain so we didnt. Was soooo hot in the morning/early afternoon.
Sea world tomorrow! :D

Seaworld was great!
Saw the dolphin show, killer whale show and comedy sketch sealion/otter show :D
Dad left with the others at 1 to go to a water park; he is all rush rush rush because he is struggling with the heat. Apparently the girls were also bored :S even though we had only seen half of the park... they looked so unimpressed by the whale show- I had goosebumps and was grinning the whole time!!

After they left G and I went to the underwater dolphin view place and I naughtily put my go pro (small.underwater camera) in the turtle pond on a string and it nearly got eaten by a madsive turtle LOL! have some video of the inside of it's mouth! Was scared sh*tless that it would choke on it and I'd get arrested for killing a 50 year old turtle or something! Was so freaked out but luckily no-one saw. Time really slowed down though- it felt like I was trying to tug the camera out of it's mouth for 20 seconds but it was more like 2 in the actual video! Have never had that before...

Food wise I've been going for good options but not counting syns. Had a mexican take away lunch but went for it without the wrap so was like chicken, rice, beans and salad- really yummy! Around 10 syns but wrap would have been another 9. Dinner had sushi which is fairly low syn with a salad on the side- our hotel does really good fresh sushi!! YUM!

We dont have breakfast included and it is mega expensive but we did have it yesterday and day before- had 'make your own omlette' but asked them to scramble the eggs instead- so yummy, with onions and ham and peppers... Had three helpings yesterday and loooads of fresh fruit, the fruit is so good there! Really ripe sliced pineapple, melon and strawberries! Packed lots in a tupperware for the room too :p like... LOTS lol! Such a klepto. Keeping loads in the mini fridge and nabbed breakfast for a couple of days in advance (bananas and fat free yoghurts) for dayd we dont.have hotel breakfast (dad often dkipd breakfast and has brunch later but I need food in the morning straight away!)

Had a fruity ice lolly yesterday (130 cal so 6.5 syns- it was really yummy, like a frozen smoothie with real strawberry bits in it) but otherwise havent had the treats that the others have had (popcorn, candy floss, pancakes and waffles at breakfast!) but am enjoying the food :D eating lots but trying to choose good things.

The day before I had a mugshot and fruit for lunch (everyone had popcorn) and chicken with rice for dinner.
Dad wants to hang at the hotel today and go to the lights show at Epcot tonight... He really hasnt got.the energy or stamina for a full day at the parks :/ G is worried we arent going to get to see most of the stuff at the parks because of this :/ we will probably head to the park earlier today and they can meet us earlier. The hotel only had two morning shuttles there (8.50 and 10am) which is annoying, means we will have to pay for taxis, but oh well.
Am going to give the hotel gym a go today! Then hit the pool.
The weather is SO erratic here! Blistering heat and thunderstorms, torretial rain just suddenly starts with no build up in about 2 seconds- it's mental!! Sadly hasnt been much sun but it's toooo much when it is, so humid.
X

Hey matey!
Didn't think you'd be updating while you were away, but glad I checked :D

The turtle story really made me laugh. See what happens when you don't stick to the rules with animals?! Surprised you didn't lose a finger :p

How old are the girls? How could anyone be bored at Sea World?! Can your Dad take me next time? ;)

Sucks about not getting round the parks and stuff. I'm sure your Dad wont mind if you and G go early or have some 'alone' time. Just think up an excuse if he says anything.

Well done on the food too! It's so easy to cave in when you're on holiday! But also glad to see you're having the odd treat too :)

Hope you're having an amazing time.
Lots of love.xx
