OMG I'm pooped

...just did 3k on my bike in one go then put the Shred DVD on for the first time ever - managed 20 minutes, and even that was 'modified' as I simply couldn't do some of the moves.

....but, have to start somewhere, and I have SO much more weight to jump around than those skinny girlies - not to mention I'm also a lot older!

I tried Zumba on my last cruise - really like the dance aspect of it but I struggled to keep up with the pace and learn the moves at the same time. Anyone know if the DVD's start with learning the basic steps?

I think Lynne had Zumba DVDs. I'm not sure. Just shake ur toosh hun!

Well done for the 3k and the shred. No wonder ur getting 4lb losses :) x

Darcy my Zumba one has 20 minute beginners stage to it. Its a bit slower paced but still not easy. Bought that a few years ago now. Look on you tube to see if there are any examples & on Amazon to look at the reviews to see how people found them. I love Zumba cos it is fun to do x

What a great loss :D
Im off to shred soon myself :D. Day 2 for me :)

I know, does get quite addictive but a much better one than food addiction xx

Thank you Marge :)

Well done on the Shred :D

.....particularly if you do it all through

I got very confused with that punch, cross elbow bit - um, what?

It's just a way of keeping your heart rate up, as that's in the cardio part. :)
Try doing the punches for 20 seconds just standing up, as fast as they go. Your heart rate will increase, but not dramatically. :)
If you then try it the way they do it on the dvd, by squatting down, it really does make you work harder, and increases your heart rate further :)
Level 3 incorporates weights into the same exercise, pushing you further still. Level one gets you used to all the exercises. The other levels build on the basics :)

Thanks Marge :)

Think I will have to work my way up through it - no way, no how could I do the 'furbies' (at least I think that's what she said ) thing

Furbies ?
Burpees I think you mean
I struggle with them too, even when I am fitter, but its an exercise that I will not let beat me. Those and the plank :)

Ok, so today I have walked for an hour, done 3k on the bike and 20 minutes Shred - albeit 'modified'

.....think that's enough :D

Doing smashing :D

So well done Darcy all that exercise is absolutely fabulous -and also well done on your weight loss - you are doing so brilliantly

Wow What a brilliant day under your belt Darcy. Well done. xx
