Hi there, FG! Welcome to our group! We're totally focused. I think most of us have had success and also struggles in the past and know that doing this 100% may be mentally taxing at times but is a whole lot easier than yo-yo-ing about and 'cheating' etc. Good luck!
Just think where we will all be, scales wise, in a few weeks from now!
TGIF. This usually would be my excuse to 'reward' myself after the working week with lots of unhelpful food and drink. What's that about? I remember seeing an episode of Alvin Hall's programme about money management and someone said to him, 'but I deserve to treat myself with xyz after working all week' (about compulsive shopping) and he looked genuinely shocked and surprised. What you 'deserve' is your salary/wages - that's the deal with work. I was a bit taken aback by his (old-fashioned) attitude, but then thought about it and realised he's right. (I could do with putting quite a bit of his advice into practice!!)
I don't 'deserve' anything for working and looking after the family all week. But what I would like and enjoy is some quiet time, some suitably rubbish telly (x factor!!), sleep, fun with my family and the satisfaction of doing what's genuinely best for me.
Any other ideas?
