Extra Easy Speed foods...

Oh the soups!!!! Never in all my days would I have thought I could get so excited over homemade soups. Loving them, its the only way I can eat loads of mixed up veg, in a soup blended, no problem. The only one I dont like is the butternut squash one. I find it far too sweet but make it for hubby, he loves it. Also like a nice tomato one I make for a red day. They are quick and easy and filling and warming in this awful weather. And cheap too. And you can freeze them. Oh dear, I sound like a soup ad! :)

Ha ha ha :) I made butternut one this week... Very sweet but again bf loved it... Must be a man thing! My fave is broccoli and cauliflower with Stilton... Not free but you need so little Stilton it's so worth it!!

These homemade soups sound great, I'm definitely going to try one tomorrow with the hand blender I bought today :D will be a first, but I'm excited.

I find I cook with onions whenever I make a hot dish, so I guess I get Speed veg there; I'm only just grasping all this SW stuff so now that I've got the basics down I'll start looking at these speed foods more :)

I love berries and tried frozen ones- they were so soggy when I defrosted them in the bag overnight though, and this morning I tried to eat melon balls that were still half frozen (not nice!) how do you guys defrost them? Maybe they'd be better in a bowl than in the bag...?

Do you go to group tetris? If so you could buy a "souper" book called The Little Book of Soups. Its got so many lovely recipes in it and its only £3.95 I think. Great value and so handy:)

Thanks, I'll look out for that :) bought a couple of recipe books already from group (only went once as the consultant wasn't very good, am going to try a different one next week!)

Yes a good c is key to success I think. Mine is excellent, even when she is on holiday she still keeps in touch on our facebook page helping us and "keeping an eye on things". Nothing is too much trouble for her and we all feel we could text or ring her 24/7 for help and advice. Hope your other on is better.l :)

Finally made the speedy tomato soup! So easy and tasty, thanks for the help! Just a shame my blender has a crack and leaked everywhere eeek! >.<

Aw, when I opened the box the blender I'd just bought was already broken! Darn, thought Bosch was a pretty respected brand! Oh well, have put it on my christmas list so hopefully my aunt will get me a nice one ;)
