Starting cd for first time tomorrow

Going in early august, can't wait! It's radio 1 weekend there so loads of good acts! Shame ur mates aren't into the same music as u!! You'll still have. Fab time!
 
Hi all! Day 13 over and I've been a moody cow!!! Looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. Got some steamed White fish and broccoli for dinner, can't wait haha, had a meeting at work today and someone brought in homemade chocolate cake. It smelt divine but I stayed strong x

I'm 4 weeks and a few days down, starting a week of SS+ on Thursday. I just hope I'll be able to go back to sole source afters... I'm not at all sure that I'm looking forward to solid food yet!

Yeah, when I read posts on here a few weeks back of people on SS for like ever I figured there was no way. But I think if I've got this far then I'm less likely to blow it, right? It's kind of like when I quit smoking, once I was past the first month I just thought it would be brainless to light up again. It's been a year and a half now, and I just pray I can do the same with FOOD!
So do you make a ritual of your tiny meal? I mean like a nice place setting, chewing 100 times, water in a wine glass, and all that?
 
Haha no I dont, although I do take ages to eat it to make it last a bit longer haha! You're totally right about ss tho! Yo be honest, I didn't think I'd last a week on it! :)
 
I've lost 4lbs!!! So pleased! That's 11lbs in 2 weeks! My target stone before glasto is only 3lbs away, amazing x

Well well well... Day 15, I NEVER thought I make it this far! I keep waking early with lots of energy! I'm cd bar hypo today...simply too excited! Ok so week 3 dilemma; wedding on Saturday with a sit down meal. I know it's smoked salmon starter so I'm ok with that. Main course I'm thinking I eat the meat and veg, leave any potatoes and skip dessert??? What do people think? No way can I not eat the meal on a round table with about 10 others plus I don't want to allow cd to control my life! I'm already sacrificing boost weekends, lunching with friends, slouchy sofa nights with bf!!!
 
Mmmm, I've not had a bad bar yet. I only got 7 so I'm being miserly with them.
Your plan for the wedding sounds good to me. Honestly, there are bound to be times like that where you simply must join in.

Ooooh, I start my week of SS+ tomorrow. I ran out and bought some chick breast and lettuce. I'm so excited that I've already weighed everything out for tomorrow! Think I'll smother the chick in spices and roast it (I know we're supposed to steam or boil but if I don't add fat how can 20 mins in the mini oven be bad?). Then I read somewhere on here that people were making mince from the chick and making *burgers*, so I'll try that too:cool:
 
Hi CG! Ss+ is amazing!!! I put curry powder on my chicken and have it with rocket salad, it's the best thing ever! The burgers sound deelish too! How u getting on? X
 
I'm actually doing fine, thought the whole thing would be much, much worse than it is. Cannot believe that tomorrow is 5 weeks!
I find that if I keep busy (both hands and mind) it's not really that hard. I do think about food off and on tho. Added coffee back to my daily routine. I'd stopped drinking it coz I couldn't stomach it w/o cream or at least milk. Then (after cleaning my coffee maker, tee hee) and buying a Brita filter, and of course a few tabs of sweetener it tastes simply fab. Don't know why, my CDC said I can't use sweetener, but the booklet says you can. I searched lots of websites about ketosis and sweetener and it seems to be individual. Just in case I started checking my wee daily for ketones and I'm happy to say that after 4 days I'm still in ketosis. So I guess I'm safe:)

Haha, I know what you mean about the whole black coffee thing but I'm kinda used to I now. 5 weeks is soooo good, I too thought it was going to be hell, but the results are so quick, it's so motivating to stick it out!!! When's your next weigh in?
