It might just be that with me too lol. I'm at Stage Wobble right now, desperate to lose a bit to get back to Toned Ville.

While I was in the bath just now I was thinking about things I can do now I've lost weight. I was hugging my knees and thinking prob TMI there but it's relevant. The first time I realised I could hug my knees again was in September 2008. I was sitting at Epcot with my back against a wall hugging my knees. I suddenly realised that it had been years since I could do that because my fat belly got in the way. That was my first realisation that I'd lost a good bit of weight (2st by the time I went on that holiday).

Since then I've noticed other things, so I decided to make a list, to remind me how far I've come.

1/ I can hug my knees
2/ I can fasten my shoes without getting out of breath
3/ I can run to the top floor (3 stories) at work without being breathless
4/ I can fit comforatbly into an aeroplane seat, and have the seat belt fastened without it being at full stretch
5/ I can get the tray down on the plane without it resting on my fat gut
6/ I can laugh at Tactless Tessie - in the past she'd have made me cry (not in public but later on, in private)

I'm sure there's probably tons more but these are the first ones to come to mind. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has noticed things they can do that they never used to be able to do before they started losing weight.
 
Hmmph I can't believe I STS this week, I'm a bit gutted but at the same time I FEEL thinner. I'm sure I've lost inches. My CDC said she thought I had because I look thinner. My friend who only saw me last week said the same thing today. I feel like it's only really happened since Sunday, my clothes seem to be quite a lot bigger all of a sudden, is it possible to lose inches and not lose weight at the same time?? I'm so confused!
 
Yeah, def. If you are toning up. Apparently the old 'muscle weighs more than fat' is rubbish, they weigh the same. Muscle is just more compact!
 
I'm such an idiot, I've totally rebelled against the diet today. I'm tired and cranky from my night shift last night. And I just felt like giving up. I decided enough was enough and gave up on CD altogether.

But only for the day!! I've reassessed it all and I'm not prepared to throw it all away so I'm going to get right back on track tomorrow. I feel sick, and I hate that feeling. I'll take next weeks WI as it comes, if I gain, so be it, I deserve it but I'm going to get to my target on CD one way or another.

It's possible that eating today may, may help to kick start some bigger losses - we'll see. I've joined to May Challenge and aim to lose 1st before 31st of May (MY BIRTHDAY). If I can do that I'll be under 13st and within 7lbs of my target, I'll be happy with that.

I'm going to give SS another go with a more positive attitude, instead of thinking I need to eat at 6 like I did before, I'm going to find something else to do at 6 instead.

I know I've been here before, making all these promises to myself, but I'm here again. Promising to get through Day 1.
 
I'm gonna go join up with the May challenge too and go for the same goal as you, 1 stone by the end of May.

Don't feel bad for coming off the wagon, it amazes me what you guys on CD go through and what you achieve. You're right, it might kick start something. You never know?!

What you planning at 6 each evening then, to take your mind off REAL food...lol?
 
Hmmm good question, I used to go to the gym straight from work but seeing as exercise is out of the master plan until I'm maintaining, I can't do that. I might just come home and go straight in the bath as soon as I get in, instead of later on in the evening like I normally do. That ought to work for a little while. If anyone has any other bright ideas I'd love to hear them.
 
Well the evenings are drawing out, so if the weather is good then you can potter in the garden?
 
How about signing yourself up on some dating sites or taking up some fancy dancing class? lol :)
 
I do need to keep the garden in check this year, I totally let it go last year and didn't do anything in it. So this year I'm going to try and get it nice again. I might have a look on some of the dating websites, it's about time I started looking for a replacement for AP lol.
 
Me and a mate who is getting cabin fever at home alone with her kid are going out for cocktails tomorrow, your welcome to join us! I promise to only get you vodka ones, they contain the least carbs!
 
He he I'll be there in spirit. Cornwall's a bit too far to come lol. Have several Cosmo's for me. I'll stay here and have fizzy water, and may even have a coke zero lol. I'm going to see my mum and dad tomorrow night I think because they're going on holiday on Monday for a week. So that should keep me busy.
 
Well I've had a bit of a busy one today. I've been to get new tyres on my car, mowed the lawns, front and back, done the housework and put my new car mats into the car. Then I tried to watch Gothika and woke up to see the end credits. I'm always super tired on the first day back on CD.

To top it all off I've got a urinary tract infection...as if I didn't need to go to the toilet enough already. Fighting it off by drinking plenty but I'm having to have Cystopurin which I'm sure will contain citric acid so I'm not likely to get back into ketosis before my next WI, so I can pretty much kiss a weight loss goodbye this week. Never mind at least I'll know why this time, not like last week, grrrr.

I love long weekends!! Tomorrow I'm going to go to B&Q to buy some sand for the bottom of my chimnea, didn't realise I needed to fill the base with sand, oops. While I'm there I might see what other garderny things I can buy, I need a new BBQ, but I'll leave that for a while so I'm not tempted to BBQ at every opportunity.

Tonight I'm going to watch scarey movies (if I can manage to stay awake). I've got Saw 1&2 to watch and Final Destination, seen them all before but it'll keep me occuppied.
 
This is my 2nd day back on CD and I'm tired aswell, but i haven't done half as much as you.

I love long weekends too but not when the weatehr is this naff :0(

I have a similar night as you tonight (if i can stay awake) SAW 5 & 6!!

Morning missy! Cor, you were busy yesterday. I'm sat on the sofa in my pj's with the dogs thinking about everything I need to be doing today. But can't get motivated.

I didn't know you needed sand in a chimnea either? Why do you need sand? We got Saw 6 on the box office the other week, they're getting a bit drawn out now.
 
Well I might have had a busy day yesterday but today has been completely the opposite. I didn't set my alarm so I just slept until I was ready to wake up, which turned out to be 11am. I must've needed it!!:eek:

I had all these grand plans to go to B&Q to get some new garden plants etc, but the weather is awful, so even if I went I wouldn't be putting them out. So I decided to have a pyjama day, I've caught up with my farm on Farm Town on Facebook, I'm having a little catch up on here and then I'm just going to watch some dvd's. And the best of it is, whatever I was going to do today can be done tomorrow, because it's a bank holiday!!!:D:D

As for the diet, I think at the end of each day I'm going to keep a note of everything I've had during the day, and the times I had it. I don't know what that'll achieve, but it might help.... Who knows... it used to help when I was doing SW. It might just focus my mind a bit.

I'm doing SS this week, started yesterday, I know I won't have a loss on Wednesdays WI because of my little rebellion. I have been lucky and only put 1lb on after eating the other day. So hopefully the fact that I'll only be having 500ish calories will still mean that I'll lose weight. Fingers crossed. Can I lose 2lbs in 3 days??:confused::confused:

I hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend and is having better weather than we are here.
 
Hi hun im sure drinking plenty of water you can loose 2 lbs on SS.

I wish i could SS again and be 100% been wondering if i should try it for a few days max!!! what you reckon?? x

I've had a real lazy day today. I needed it. I'm just giving SS a go for as long as I can. I'm not going to be able to do it til the end, but I'm going to see how long I can go for.... definitely until after my next WI anyway. I haven't got any SS+ friendly food in the house anyway, so I'll have to for now lol.

It's worth giving it a go Shanny. If you can't manage its not the end of the world, just take it hour at a time. Usually when I'm SSing I'm fine if I can make it through the first couple of days. So tomorrow things should get easier for me.

So this is what I've had today...

500mls water
Fruits of the forest shake - 12pm
1L water & cup of tea
Toffee & walnut Shake - 4.30pm
1L water
Vanilla Shake made into mousse
1 cup of tea & 500ml water.
 
I know what you mean by taking it day by day, i dont get headaches or anything like that while SSing so lucky really.!

I hear voices telling me to eat loool, i could do it really did it last month, and lost 5.5 lbs !

Id do it for 3-4 days really but want to do it so badly, im 2 lbs away from goal.

Surfhunny im sure you are on a role now for staying on SS for long while day 3 tomorrow you can achieve this hun,.!! x
 
I really hope so hun!! I've never experienced anything like this before so I hope this week will be the end of it all. I need to be moving forward with bigger jumps than I'm taking now.

I'm lucky, I don't get headaches etc either with SS, the only time I did was the very first time and I thought I was going to die!! Back then I was too scared to even take paracetmol incase it affected the diet. Oh how things change lol.

I reckon if you give SS a go for a couple of days that 2lbs will be history!!
