Hello hello! Today has been fab, had the day off. Needed to go to the Apple store to see if anything could be done about my phone. My mum decided to come with me so we had a nice wander round the Metro Centre.
The Apple man completely wiped my phone! He said the update had caused some of the iPhone 3GSs battery calibration to become out of sync with how much is actually used, which was why it was staying at 100% for ages then cutting out at 18%. I've restored it and I'm down to 80% already which is about right for what I've used. So hopefully it's solved the problem.
The first time I restored it I restored it to a random old backup so all my apps I'd ever bought went on, none of my music, photos or contacts went on and it wouldn't sync, quick phone call to my bro made me realise my stupidity and I restored it again but to the back up I did this morning and voila, all back to how it should be!
I'm just 9-5 tomorrow and Wednesday so it'll be a nice couple of days!
I've been thinking about what I'm going to wear for the works Christmas do, spurred on by Nikki's dress shopping. I've got a black jersey dress I bought for Thanksgiving last year. It's dressy enough for our party because it was bought for a posh restaurant, but I just need it to fit!! I need to be very good these next few weeks and try and drop half a stone and it should fit fine.

how does it keep crashing? what are you doing when it crashes?

I'm usually on an app or something, this time i was just opening minis and it crashed. The screen goes black but it's not off completely. You can vaguely see it but it's as if there's not enough battery to power it. Then I just get the black screen with the white apple until I plug it in then it comes back on as normal. Really frustrating!!

doesn't sound right. what about doing a wipe and start again. you can restore your phone to factory settings without plugging it into your computer and it goes back to the very beginning 'plug it into itunes' then start again from scratch.

maybe time for a new phone? i had my first one for 2 years and this one for 14 months so far. i really want to upgrade next september again. keep it currant.
as a point of interest.... my phone seems to be running slow, the central button needs pressing several times before it works properly and when i play music in the car with a heavy base it's started crackling.

Hmm everyone I know who've updated are having probs with their phones running slow. My bro says that with every update speed and memory is sacrificed to some extent because they add so much extra to it. Makes sense I guess.
I'm due an upgrade in march but can do it a month early so I'll try and hang on to this baby until then and get the 4S, I love iPhones so not going to change to anything else. I can put up with the crashing. I just need to make sure I have a power cable with me all the time, good job I've got a few lol.

Look what I made to take into work tomorrow. I'm such a feeder when I'm properly on CD.
