Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

what a creep!! not you, your boss!

I think that's completely out of order! I would send him a private message asking if he thinks there is something fraudulent about your injury? Or your doctors signature on the sick note? I would definately tell him you don't appreciate snide comments being made on your private page, nor that you think it's appropriate from a superior member of staff. And that if you had anything to hide you wouldn't have added him in the first place.

Wha, I'm jumping! Lol

p.s just left a very strange message for you on your fb page on said thread.

Thanks Nikki, he's an interfering old tw@t, I thought at first I was being over sensitive about it but I can almost hear his sneery voice saying it. I'm going to go over his head and see his boss when I get back, I'm not going to take action, but I want her to know what's going on!

It's pointless confronting him Kez cos he'll twist things, he always falls in sh!t and comes out smelling of roses!!! He plays victim and people, even senior management can't handle him, and back down.

I showed his comment to my friend and she loved your comment Nikki, she said that'll really sting him!!

I shouldn't let him get to me, but I'm really starting to dread going back to work! Thank god it's another 3 and a half weeks away!!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... would have gone further but didn't want to cause you any more grief. talking of grief (as in stress), i've just scoffed some chocolate.

was talking to another mum at school today and the bell went for reception school lunch. all the staff trundle out and get in their cars and go. so i said to the other mum, that's very off cause in other schools i've worked in the staff stay and help the kids have their lunch by helping them make good choices and cutting up the food and opening or giving them drinks. so one staff was passing by and she worked a bit in nursery last year so i asked her about it and she said it was non-directed time so they could go and the dinner nannies would do it. said this was odd and told her about my experiences in various schools across the county. well i got a call from the school today and the head wants me to make an appointment to speak to her about it. the other mum has had a call too. she's seeing them tomorrow am and i phoned the school back and told them that as it was a fleeting comment that i don't see it necessary to see the head teacher. they said are you refusing to see her and i said i don't see it necessary to go to see her as it was a fleeting comment. talk about being a naughty school girl! i'm not a member of their staff. FFS! F off head!

Ooh Nikki called in to see the head baad girl!!! How ridiculous!! I'm not surprised you're stressed!! It really annoys me that even as adults people can still manage to make us feel small or like we've done wrong. :(

well i'm not seeing her. i refuse to be treated like i've done anything wrong. i'm not one of their staff and i've chosen to ignore seeing her. the receptionists were like you're refusing to see her, i said no i don't see that it's necessary. if she really needs to contact me she can write me a formal letter. i'm too busy at the moment. my mum's just out of hospital after her leg amputated.

p.s i wasn't agressive to a member of their staff or anything. just a discussion about with a surprised look on my face when they were walking away.

the member of staff was in the nursery last year so i sort of 'knew' her. she said it was non directed time so fair enough. enough said, that's obviously what that school does.

It's all a bit over the top isn't it? You're entitled to an opinion. It's the kind of thing that would happen where I work.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall when his freaking majesty logs on and reads your comment on FB. I've been back through my FB status's looking fir the other comment he made about me being off sick, but I remember I deleted it in a rage.

I was going to call in and say hello to people after my physio appointment tomorrow but I'm not going to now, because I'm in great danger of attacking him with my crutches, then I'll get sacked lol. I'm still fuming!! I can't believe I'm a grown woman and he has made me feel like cr@p! I think that's what's making me so cross :(

you should go in and moan and whinge and get them to run round after you. get them to make you a cuppa. :D

p.s ems hasn't even started school yet :D think of moving her to yarm prep.

Lol I did that on Monday when I took sick note in, it was so hot in the hospital I was wrecked just getting from the carpark to the department. He was in a meeting though so he didn't get to witness it.

Yarm Prep is a really good school!!!

My boss is a complete arse!!! I woke up this morning to find a comment on my FB saying "Your physio seems to involve a lot of watching telly! How does that work?"

This is disgraceful behaviour on his side and he should know better. We come across this all the time in work.. I got a call from one manager saying he'd seen a picture of an employee dancing with his arms on his wife's shoulders and if he could do that why couldn't he work! We advised the manager to take his concerns through the proper channels and referred him back to our 2 day old report on his employee's fitness for work.

I would not respond at all but I would change your privacy settings or delete him (bad idea having work people on FB me thinks)... I would also take a screen shot of that page and initiate a formal complaint as he is is essentially bullying you!

He has absolutely no right to comment on your behaviour outside work and if he did suspect any of his staff of being fit for work despite a sick note then there are proper channels to take that down.

I did take a screenshot of it. What makes me laugh about it is that he's concerned with the amount of tv I'm watching....if he was more concerned by the fact that he'd seen me running down the road or out clubbing fair enough. But I'm doing exactly what an injured person does - watches daytime telly. Am I meant to spend all my waking hours doing physio? I'd never recover!

The trouble is GG he is categorically a bully, no doubt about it! He's even been taken to task about bullying a colleague, BUT he is so manipulative he has senior management believing he's the victim. He's gay which is neither here nor there to any of us at work, but he uses it to say we're being homophobic etc if we challenge him or talk to his superiors about him. It's how he scraped out of the last bullying case. And it's nonsense!

For the most part I don't give a stuff, because he's only my line manager because someone has to do my appraisals etc, we are the same grade, I have more clinical responsibilities and he has more managerial. But I'm off sick, and he's got no business insinuating things!

Right Day 1 again lol let's hope I see this through this time!!!

This is my horoscope for today and for once I think I'm going to do as it says. I'm not going to react or act on my bosses stupidity, just going to relax and let him dig his own grave!! :D

Your Daily Horoscope
What would happen if you decided to take care of yourself today, Gemini? This is what the planets are trying to tell you. You need to relax, to let yourself be taken care of, and close your eyes and dream. Leave the daily tasks behind. You need peace and quiet. Lie down and release all your worries. You don't need to act and you don't need to react. Just relax.

---------------------------------------------------------

AND this also applies to CD, I'm not going to do anything, just relax and take it hour at a time to get through these first couple of days. :D sound advice all round for me today I think lol :)

Been to physio today and she's pleased with my progress, yay!! I'm so pleased I actually got to spend 10 minutes on the exercise bike, it was all I could do to stop myself from pushing and upping the levels. I've got more exercises to do at home to lengthen the muscle. It was nice to do a bit of exercise!!!

I ordered a book last week and it came today. The Beck Diet Solution, it uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to change how we think about food and eating. I'm going to work through it and hopefully something will click!

sounds like a good book. i'm reading one about depression at the min. dipping in and out. feel happier today. i think it's dancing. took the dog for a walk tonight with ipod on and when i came home i was dancing around doing jobs around the house. i haven't done this for such a very long time. food wise i've been rubbish.

That's good to hear that you're feeling a bit brighter. This book seems good so far, it's made me think "Yeah that's right" quite a few times so far, so fingers crossed!! I'm starting the tasks tomorrow, I've read all the background and why it's important to do each task, so why not, it'll give me something to do! :)

Tomorrow I have to write on a card the advantages of being a healthy weight (this card is then my new best friend lol), then there's other things like learning distraction techniques, craving monitoring charts, making priority charts etc. It's all meant to make you think a bit more about how you view food and maintaining a healthy weight. I'm usually not one to do these kind of tasks I read them but don't do them, but I've got time on my hands and I WANT to make permanent changes so....I figured it's worth a try!

that's really interesting. i've started to assess my need for food before i eat, it's gone awol the past few days but i really do try.

i think am i hungry or do i just need to snack. if it's hunger, real hunger i eat it if isn't i try not to eat i drink coffee and then chew gum trying other things to occupy my time. it works well when i do it. it does stop me eating.

Oh dear I totally slept in thus morning, didn't wake up until mum rang me at 11:30 :( I slept through my alarm and everything.

why are you setting an alarm? you're off work, nothing to do but mooch!
