It was a mostly success. The base needed to be a bit thinner, I did dh's in my round tray, which meant although it was a good shape, it was a little thick. Did mine on a flat one, and it looked weird with no definite shape, but was thinner.
Next time I'm going to get a second round tray, thin it out by going up the sides of the pan too (to make an almost pie base), and skipping the tom puree, which was ok, but a bit sharp. I'll be filling it with peeled plum tomatoes (reduced in the saucepan) with onion, mushroom and a hexb or two of bacon, and cheese on top.
All in all, a good meal, would recommend, nice and filling.
