tazbabe's show and tell

Good afternoon folks.
Got home ok in the rental car that I now have until the insurance pays out. The wreck has been abandoned at my mums till it is assessed and taken away. Shame really as it did about 70mpg.....
I went to raid the freezer for something for breakfast this morning and found most of the freezer contents have defrosted.
Marty is not going to be too chuffed me thinks

All the best

Steve/Spud

It never rains but it pours Steve, your home insurance should cover that I'd think.

aw, how could i be cross with him after just getting him home? not his fault anyway, good job he found it! turns out its just a dodgy wire in the plug.
it's about 25yrs old, so would be no shame to it anyway!

been for a bone scan this morning, now sit back and wait for results. what a fun time we have been having eh?
off for s snooze now, working later x

That's good, at least it's sorted then Marty.

yes have a nice snooze. while steve has to use up all the food in the freezer?

Ach, rotten luck. Bet you fill your freezer with lovely stuff again in no time though.

Marty hope you're not madly busy at work tonight - do you do a big long run of nights or what?

Steve good to have you back - was there anything salvageable for immediate eating? Every cloud???

Good morning Marty. :)

morning!
work was fine, very civilized, and only on for 2 nights then days at the weekend.
and we managed to salvage most of the contents, some wil have to go to the dogs, some we can cook and re freeze, so thats all ok :)

how is everyone today?

morning babes :)
glad about freezer hon would be expensive replacing all that atkins food x (lucky doglets)

we have a date for the funeral, 24th jan. seems like ages away. i kinda feel that by then we will have just started to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer with us, and it will rake the wound raw again.
but on the other hand if a funeral is too soon i think it doesn't give you time to get your head around it either.

i've sorted out work, managed to get 5 days off, so we can spend plenty of time with steve's mum in the days before and after. the distance thing is hard for her.

she is going to come and live with us in acouple of months when she has had chance to sort out her house, what a sad thing to do, condense all your home into the 2 rooms that we can offer her here! but we shall get along fine, and we will know that she is ok.

Oh honey - that does seem a long time away :( but how lovely for his mum to be able to come and live with you. is it a couple of rooms or a little flat for her?

2 rooms, a bedroom and a small room that at present is my junk room, will become her craft room, she makes great cards etc.

aww lovely :) she is lucky to have you both x

One of the reasons that we are keeping this huge old empty house is so my Mum can come if she needs to Marty. She could have the whole middle floor of the house if she wants, that's 4 rooms and a bathroom and toilet.

bloomin heck Jim didnt realise you lived in buckingham palace ;)

It must be so comforting for your MIL to know that she has you there, Marty - and I'm sure it will all work really well for you all :)
