l'm 3.2lbs down - so the previous week's gain reversed. 1.8lbs down in 2 weeks. I'm now 275.6lbs so 43lbs shed 3st1lb (13.5%) in 5 1/2 months eating low carb. .

For me personally I plan what I am going to eat for a week. This way I am not caught out. Another tip is to make extra on freezable meals then u can bring one of these meals when busy or cant be bothered this still keeps me on plan. I do sw not that there are not many other excellent programmes. But I still can cook all the meals I love with a little tweak here or there. So I don't feel deprived cos I can still have curry, chilli and burger and chips.

I rarely eat white stuff - ie I eat protein, good fats and veggies grown abouve ground, not bread, pasta, rice etc, and only break fast when am hungry - often midday often 1pm and sometimes later. l usually eat twice a day. l am really reallly surprised how this has taken away my compulson to eat. I have found like you eating a good amount of protein stops me from feeling hungry and keeps me fuller for longer. At breakfast i make baked oats with zero fat Greek yoghurt and have a protein yoghurt along side. I then frequently don't want anything to eat till my evening meal.

I'm seeing people talking about how overeating might be our bodies seeking more protein - so et more of whatever we are eating - with the fats and carbs. I've enjoyed having good fats with my food but l am thinking of focussing more on eating the protein and diminishing the fats in what l eat. l know protein keeps me satiated. My monthly update, its been great reading about all your losses and welcome to the new team mates. I've lost 5lbs for the month, even with my bday wine & cake w/e mid month , but had to be strict before and after was worth it .. yum . Now 219lbs / 15st 9lbs / 99.5kg. Im half way through the challenge weight wise doesnt look good in the time left to get to the 50lbs goal, but considering the health obstacles the last few months im happy with my losses :)

Weigh in day today -3.5lbs so pleased and felt a bit weepy (may well the hormones to blame) as lowest weight I have been in 6 years. Everyone on here is so supportive and nice and it feels like such a safe online community. I have more to go after this 50 so if it’s ok will ‘tack’ the additional amount on once I have the 50lbs mark whenever that may be! Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Wonderful reason to be weepy, Bertie. You'll soon be the healthy BMI range and 1/5 of yr body weight shed forever. Impressive progress.

I miss the old days of the really busy Minimins. When it shut down for a while, many old users never found it again. However I really appreciate the band we have here - and appreciate the support of you lovely people. t's been essential to my success this time. I've added a new goal - waist measurement - and getting below 33 inches, half my height and a ratio said to be a good marker of a healthy weight. Nearly 10 more inches to go!
