I'm Kate, 30 years old with 2 boys aged 7 and 10. I'm studying to be a design and technology teacher at uni and will be going on placement in September. That's one of the reasons I'm doing this, I'll be nervous enough standing in front of a load of teenagers without being fat as well lol. I also want to be a good role model for my kids and not an embarrassment. I've got about 4 stones to lose, would love to have the majority of that off by late August as it's my cousins wedding and I'd love to shock family members I've not seen for a while.
I'm on day 3 as a couple of you know and feeling really positive, although how long that lasts is anyone's guess! I'm busy at uni all day and not getting in til after half 5 so that should keep me out of trouble for a while. To be honest, I've gone without food quite frequently at uni as I don't eat breakfast, forget to pack a lunch (not paying extortionate prices in the canteen!) and then sometimes don't eat til 8 at night. But then it's probably covered in cheese and washed down with a bottle of wine! And I wonder why I never lose weight lol
I did lighterlife about 5 years ago and did really well but didn't see it thru, put everything back on plus some more. Since then I've tried healthy eating, slimming world etc but get demotivated by the 1lb weekly losses. Patience is definitely not one of my virtues!!
My first weigh in is on Saturday morning and I'm quite excited, nearly half way there and ketosis will soon kick in. I remember the high I got from that and can't wait.
We've all got through the hardest 2 days... Here's to day 3. Drink up! We can do it
