OMG:'( just been weighed at work a stone on from my lowest weight!!!!:-(
Hospital scales,so regulary calibrated.This has made me even more determined to lose weight,28 W Is to the big 50 and 29 to my majorca holiday! I WILL DO IT;-)
Going to new class tomorrow,as hrs in work changed and going to buy a 12 week countdown.Luck not needed inly determination and exercise,lots of it!!!!!:-!

What cold stuff could you have for breakfast on success express as I eat mine in the office so it is usually fruit and yoghurt or 2 alpen lights or ryvita with Philly light or sometimes porridge so how would you express it up ?

the easiest uncooked breakfast on Success Express is fruit and yoghurt I find Latte. Just make sure that your yoghurt is a free one (free Muller or Shape say) and that the fruit component is at least twice the volume of the yoghurt - I have an apple, a kiwi (or two), some melon and some grapes in a big bowl with the yoghurt over the top.

If you were to have Ryvita and Phili you would have to have it either with fruit as well (apples and grapes say) at least 2/3 of the volume and porridge would be the same. Or you could have a side salad with your Ryvita?

On the odd occasion I do a Success Express day or two I have fruit salad and yoghurt for breakfast - that way you know you are getting your 1/3 to 2/3 ratio in without worrying about it. As Lou says, the only other way around it is with cooked brekkies then you can bulk up with onions, peppers and mushrooms....... I have some roasted BNS or courgette cubes on the side too!

Another stupid question I know mug shots can't be used as snacks which I agree with but can they be a lunch option with loads of salad and fruit if I choose the free ones ?
 
I don't eat Mugshots as I don't like them: however, I sometimes have half a free Pasta & Sauce sachet with a big pile of SF veggies or salad equal to double the amount of pasta for lunch which is OK (I think).

I haven't done Success Express much - perhaps Lou will be along with a yay or nay later??
 
hello, annya has already given great info on success express...i asked my c about the healthy extras option as i was confused about if i were to say have scrambled egg and veg on toast if my toast would have to be portioned as free food or if i had it as extra and the answer is...leave the healthy extras off the plate, portion your plate with your 1/3 and 2/3 free and superfree only then have your healthy extras as extras on the side, does that make sense? so if you wanted to have porridge as breakfast, strictly speaking you could as its a healthy extra, but i wouldnt imagine that wouldnt count as being on a success express day as the idea of a success express day is to have your meals as 1/3 free and 2/3 super free, and porridge is neither free or super free... its abit confusing not entirely sure i get it in all honesty. as you have 2 healthy extras of each kind and you have them as extras on top of your meals...maybe thats how they are intended, to be on top of your meals, not as a meal? god i hope that makes sense lol. agree with the cold breakfast yogurt and fruit is a good one, i cant really think of anymore? tbh i tend to just have a banana most days for breakfast cos im not really a breakfast person, if i do have one its mor mid morning and ill have scrambled egg, veggies and toast, going to pinch annyas idea of adding courgett to it yum, i love courgette. on the mugshot thing, it is free food technically but on success express the idea is to snack on superfree between meals, so i would say mugshots are out as a snack, but as a meal you would have to blalance it with double the amount of superfree food, so maybe salad and fruit?

i have been to the doctors and i have a sinus infection now, been feeling lousy for over a week so hes given anti biotics so hopefully i will feel better soon, a good excuse not to drink this weekend too lol!! i have cancelled a night out next sat because we cant afford it and i want to spend the next month concentrating onmy diet. i looked at my graph on sw website and since november i have just been hovering around the same weight up and down by a pound each way. i need to get moving with it, i am so determined its unreal. and not having food ads on the telly every 5 minutes is massively helping. right, just off to ring about the gym to get my membership up and running again...

S mini hi fi bar
L Thai mug shot mini peppers olives gherkins cherry toms
S rainbow layer fruit salad and dinner is
Homemade bns soup with onions carrots and leeks made with the hex a non dairy Kara coconut milk with we wholemeal bread

I assume that all sounds ok ?
 
for success express?? its hard to know cos obviously i cant see the amounts of free versus super free but the food content looks fine hun, your brekkie was totally super free, your dinner was a mugshot, your olives would need synning, and your cherry toms, peppers and gherkins are free..but obviously for success express to be successful you would have to make sure that you ate double the amount of gherkins, tomatos and peppers as you did mugshot for it to be successful and your tea looks to be superfree with added healthy extras so looks fine...the only thing i would say to stop you feeling hungry is to add a free food to your breakfast, like a small fat free yogurt and in your evening meal, i know your not a meat eater but what about a small portion of rice, pasta, noodles or potato to go in your soup? noodles would be nice, it would make it like a minestrone type soup...just make sure you put a relatively small amount in cos veg shrinks when its cooked and pasta, rice and noodles expand...so if you measure them when raw your not going to get a true representation...i would be tempted to cook the noodles seperate and then add them after the veg is cooked and the noodles are cooked just so you know you havent added too much.
 
Latte - my friend is an addict of boiled eggs. So has a cold one for breakfast as her free and fruit.
Alternatively she has an oat so simple plus lashings of fruit in it! (I think you can make them up with hot water - which should be doable in work with a kettle).
Me? Yoghurt and Fruit all the way - that is when I remember to have breakfast! :eek:
 
Funny enough I was going to boil some eggs tonight !

I have already failed as I had my second half hex b 3 crackerbread with some butter and a satsuma and some grapes as a snack.

I don't think I can do this as I usually use at least one hex as a snack during the day but from reading the plan hex are meant to be part of the meal.

i eat my healthy extras whenever i want latte, i dont have them as part of a meal and i have the leaflet for success express and it doesnt say you have to have them as part of your meal??? that snack you had is fine, so long as you synned your butter....also your allowed 2 healthy b's and 2 healthy a's....your healthy extras are EXTRAS hun, not to be incorporated into your food and counted towards a free portion. just your actual meals need to be 1/3 free and 2/3 super free...i suppose if you wanted your healthy extras as your main meals you could but you would actually be eating less food than if you had them as extras on top of your free and super free food, so you would be more hungry and more likely to break the plan and binge...this is why the plan has free, super free and healthy extras...to keep you full and healthy. sorry if my post was confusing earlier.
 
2lbs on tonight! Not ideal but completely deserved. Im determined to lose a half stone this month though so I'm all focused now.

This might be a very stupid question but I've made a load of superspeed soup - can I count this as my superfree for lunch?

its completely super free if everything in it is totally super free hun, if it has parsnip, potato, peas etc in it then its not all super free hth

Latte - I try to have 1 HexB with my main meal in the evening. Bearing in mind we never eat until at least 9pm, if I'm hungry mid afternoon I'll try to be angelic and have superfree fruit. But if I'm ravenous I have an Alpen Light (1/2 HexB) with a mug of milky coffe (HexA) as well.

As Lou said, you don't just have to have them with your meals. Okay you are supposed to snack on superfree if you possibly can but there is no rule that I am aware of that says you can't have your hex's as snacks.

I'm sure someone will tell us differently if we are wrong!
 
hello jen, nice to see everyone re focusing again! this sperfree stuff is interesting reading...i have just realised annya you told me about this a while ago !! doh ! i reckined i dint know about it as well!?
