for the last few months I have been having symptoms 2-3 times per month so it isn't too excessive, but it comes on fast, and excuse the tmi, but I need to get to the toilet fast when it happens! I've been lucky as I am currently on maternity leave but I'm worried about when I go back to work - I work in peoples houses can you imagine having to use a customers toilet under those circumstances??! I was made to see the doctor though after a night out with my friend on saturday night had me driving home in great discomfort panicking that I was going to be too late!
I'm back to the doc tomorrow for my test results, but so far as I see I'm not sure there is much she can give me, she gave me a leaflet about antispasmodic drugs which may have helped on saturday night as it was a prolonged attack, but normally (thankfully) it's over really fast for me provided I can get to a loo, and anti dioreah (sp?) tablets no use either as they wouldn't have time to work. At least if I know I have IBS though I can read up more and see if there is anything i can do to manage it. Having read a little I think the problem on saturday was I drank 3x diet coke, and I rarely drink fizzy juice or caffiene, I have read that both can be triggers. I can live without diet coke........
My weight fluctuates a lot in a week too from one day to the next can be 2-3 lbs even when I know I've been 100% true. I'm actually considering just checking my weight daily and on my check in day of wednesday just logging the lowest weight of the week. I'm doing it online anyway so no group weigh ins.
