Good news about the weigh in, glad your determination is starting to pay off for you! Hope you feel better soon x
For all the coffee lovers I found a post on making iced coffee and tried it with great results tonight
I used 1 tsp of coffee granules ( caramel flavour ) 3 level tsp of sweetener, 50 ml semi skimmed milk, small glass water and 4 ice cubes
Blitz all this in a blender and serve with a straw cos it tends to settle. Not bad at all to taste
Costa coffee coolers, small size using semi skimmed milk are listed as kcal 262 so aprox 13 syns
I know it's not exactly the same but this works out at about 1 1/2 for the milk, so I will defenitly be making this again x

YAY thanks Ruby - going to have to look for that yum yum
Hi Racheldubljn
Welcome to the thread, the best advice I can give you is to try and relax now you have your diagnosis of under active thyroid,
it's something we all have for life and I for one do not plan to stress about it for the rest of my days
I know you probably feel awful now but that wont last long cos Once your meds are at the correct dose you will start to feel much better, the weight will come off, it may come off slowly but it will come off
Some quick questions Rachel.......
When were u diagnosed ?
Who do you attend ? Doctor or endocrinologist ?
What meds are u on ?
What dosage ?
Do you know what tests you had done ? TSH , free t4 ?
Do u know what your blood results were ?
Are you doing ww or slimming world ?
I've done both and find sw much easier for weight loss and its more of a lifestyle change rather than a diet we need to lose the weight and keep it off
I had planned to go to Dublin today for the sales but couldn't make it, will probably be next week now. I'm sure there will still be plenty of bargains left anyway, chat to you later x

ww 3 years now and I've lost barely anything :-(
It's becoming a big problem for me now, I notice my mood is constantly low, I'm struggling sleeping because of weight thoughts, I'm constantly crying over my weight troubles, the scales are not reflecting my work
This Isn't me I'm usually such a positive person :-(
Xmisskx thanks so much for your reply,
It's great to have ppl here to talk to it really is,
My fear has always been that I'd be one of those people who joins all plans and never looses,
I don't know what I'm afraid of but I feel loosing weight and the depression of it is taking over my life :-(
