This time I will do it!!...

Ooh your an expert by now. How have you been finding it?

Unfortunately I can't see anyones profile/stats on the app on my phone x

Lol at the expert comment! Have lost 3 stone 11 so far. Fingers crossed for 4 stone next week. I am following the EE and it isn't too complicated now, although did struggle the first month or so.

Wow! That's amazing in such a short space of time. Well done!

It does take time to get into but once your in it the weight does come off.

Do you go to group or do it from home? X

I go to group on a Tuesday. I have roped my 14 years old daughter to join me, although she was already okay with just a stone or so to lose. She has lost 1 stone 5 and has been an amazing support throughout

It's nice to support each other and what an amazing loss she has had! I love it that SW is such a good, healthy plan that anyone can follow it x

She just has to make healthy swaps. So white bread to wholemeal, more fruit/veg/salad with every meal and thinking before eating the treats. Simple changes which will hopefully support her in later life and teach her good habits so she doesn't get herself into a state like I did!

Wish my Mam had shown me all that before I moved out and started making my own food choices. Would've stopped me getting so big lol x

Thank you. Don't want to jinx it but I do feel like I am.

Still not sure about going to group/doing SW from home/changing to a Tues group...
Wish I could make me mind up lol.

How has your day been? X

I think your in it - nothing to jinx hun it seems like since you relaxed a bit for target you have totally changed your thinking and your doing fabulous.

Im ok ish lol as you can see on my thread ................ effing men lol x

So peeved off today!
Went to Aaron's school this afternoon for a link up session before September. He has already been going mornings since January in the same school.

We received a letter home the other week to say that in September the children will do afternoons/mornings /afternoons/mornings for a month to settle. I was a little annoyed at this but as I thought everyone was doing it I was fine.

Today, it turns out that all the children he currently goes to school with in the mornings are all going full-time in September, straight away. All except Aaron and one other child.
Obviously annoyed as I feel Aaron is being singled out for some reason, I asked the teacher for a chat.

Asked her why Aaron was only half days despite virtually everyone else going full-time and she said it's because they feel Aaron would be tired - no chance! He sleeps a full 12 hrs a night and is full of beans til his head hits the pillow. And because they can get the assesments done of all the other children done if Aaron and this other child do half days. That was like a red rag to a bull and implies that Aaron would cause an obstruction to this is full-time straight away.

I told them that as his Mother, I feel that he is being singled out and that it will confuse him to alternate between mornings and afternoons, especially as when he has to leave after mornings all his other friends who he started school with will be staying whilst he will be sent home.

I felt I was polite but articulated my point. Teacher said she will talk to the other teacher and speak with OH on Monday. Of course! Deal with the man not the emotional mother!

Rang my Dad when I got back to vent and he said, straight out that as Aaron is fairly loud that they may think something is wrong with him. WTF! He's just a normal boisterous, active boy.
Burst into tears and have spent the afternoon crying.

Why do I feel like I've failed Aaron?!

Wtf???? Thats shocking!!! Do they have a governers board hun? Or can you ask to meet with the head of the school? That is sooooo unfair. No way have you failed Aaron, your a brill mum, your so right he is a typical boy. Shame on your dad saying that, if they thought there was something wrong surely they should have pointed it out before now.

I would write a strongly worded letter to the school putting all your points across, the poor thing is going to realise straightaway that hes being treated differently to his friends, kids arent stupid and they pick up on things. It seems that if the teachers have a "problem/issue" they are skirting around it!! why only 2 kids out of a full class.

Please dont get upset hun you have done nothing wrong and its only write you got emotional at the school any decent parent would. xx

omg how rude of them, dont get upset you seem to be doing a fab job at raising your kids & you havent failed at all. Really hope that it gets sorted for you xx

Thanks both.

My Mam has had a blazing row with my Dad over his comments. He knows it hits a sore spot as my step-son is Autistic and had ADHD so I constantly worry about my two. But in all honestly neither of them exhibit anything like that!

My Mam's friend is one of the Governers and removed her child from the school for the same reason. They seem to like the quiet children but not the ones with a bit of a louder personality.

Mark (OH) initially thought I was overreacting but now I've explained it properly, without crying, he's mad as well.
The teacher said that once they've had a chat about what I've said today that they'll speak to Mark on Monday. When they do Mark is going to ask for a meeting with both of us there to discuss it more fully.

I know he can be naughty sometimes but I honestly think he's just an active boy!

Took ages to pick this school aswell x

Luckily I didn't cry in front of them at school and kept my cool but as soon as I got to the car the tears were running.

Poor Aaron didn't know what was going on! X

Awww bless him and you hun. Its good that Mark is going to ask for a meeting with both of you present. They have no valid reason so segregate Aaron at all.

Hes a bloody boy what do they expect it would be more of a worry if he sat in a corner never spoke and distanced himself from everyone. They have a flipping cheek

That's exactly what my Mam said.

She runs a teaching supply agency and visits schools everyday. I asked her to honestly tell me if she thought there was anything I should be concerned of and she said pretty much the same thing - that's he's a boy who is boisterous and loud but that we should be more concerned if he sat in the corner quietly.
