Morning all Threadstoppers

Just popped in to catch up. Loving your Christmas message Karion, I think the grey bat eared one, grinning like a loon and blinking wildly is a very good representation of moi. :D

DH did his Christmas shopping i.e my presents as I'd done everyone elses  on Thursday & Friday night, so quite early for him then! I always give him a beautiful (long) list, with present descriptions, pictures, shop name and if necessary directions - it's very thorough. Then he comes home & says he wasn't sure what to get me. Honestly!!!!

Loving Singstar DQ, although everyone shouts at me cos I always hog it - TEE HEE. Well I am a budding superstar just waiting to be discovered y'know. Ok, I'm 42 and should have been discovered by now, but there's time, still time, maybe, perhaps........hmmmmmm. My favourite trick is going out with my friends for a drink, having too much to drink and then inviting everyone back at silly o'clock for Singstar - great fun:D

Rightio, lunch beckons, so catch up with all you crazy peeps later. Happy shopping for anyone facing the supermarkets this afternoon.

oh Karion,

I so related to that green one - it was the pulsing wobbling tummy that did it (and I feel green if eaten too much also)

so I would like to be the green one sitting behind the green one we can see (that is if you don't mind being so large that you cannot see me behind you - surely not with you being at your goal for so long)

(just imagine me saying that with an evil cackle ha ha ha ha ha)

I'ld like to be the one on the right slightly raising her eyebrow! lol

As for why men shop last minute... well... coz they forget it's Christmas until people start wishing them it...mebbe... just got back from gettin my reduced price sprouts and carrots, cream etc.. none of it for me of course.. but the girls will enjoy a scrummy Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.. :D

Just be glad girls that you a) have a man to buy you things and b) no matter what he ends up getting you, he has got you it! lol and mega bonus c) most stores will exchange goods unopened even without a receipt  :D ;)

We have all the prezzies under the tree now and I can't wait to see the girls' faces when they open some of them.. I know they are going to love 'em!:D Hope you all have the best Christmas time possible xxxxx

I think I should be the green one as he got the belly....loks like my hernia, so Karion I think I should have the honour of the greenie in the middle.....please

Very true FFF & I wouldn't change him for the world.

Boxing Day Greetings one and all.

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday & didn't eat too much. I did ok, a few too many chocs but didn't go into pig-out overdrive. Did enjoy my Christmas pudding though I must confess.

Up & on the internet this morning trying to find out if Game is open for my daughter who wants to exchange a Playstation Game she bought. Don't think they are though as someone's posted on another thread that M&S aren't open today. Well if they're not, I can't see much else in Telford being open. Secretly relieved, didn't really fancy treking through the hordes again today. Trouble is we've got visitors the rest of the week so won't really be able to go.

Have a good day all, enjoy those turkey sandwiches/curry/risotto etc for those not SSing. :D I've got enough turkey to feed the 5,000. Because it was just the three of us for Chrimble dinner, decided to have a duck this year as I'm not the biggest turkey fan and we all love duck. So I ordered from my farm shop and also ordered a turkey crown so that we could have a turkey sandwich yesterday evening. I mean you've got to have some turkey over the festivities haven't you? So I ordered the smallest they had, but didn't really take the size into account. It's a whopper! Far too big and we'll be eating the ruddy stuff for days! Oh well, now where did I put that recipe for Turkey Fricasse?

xx

Morning MadamDotty!!! Don't blame ya for not wanting to go anywhere - I'm sat in my jimjams with Nina - DH has gone to pick up his daughter and we are having Christmas Day Part II :D

As for the turkey I'm sure they grow overnight so they are bigger than the leftovers you had the night before!

That explains it!! LOL

Morning MadamDotty - I have to say I just lay in bed till 10 thinking nice thoughts and now have to face going to my parents to see my brother who has come up from south wales (2 days late because of the blinkin fog they had down there). I had planned to do nowt or less but got to drag these flabby bones out and get presentable (whilst ulimately a waste of time - it will take a couple of hours till I get to the state to realise it).

Have a chilled day - and not too much fricasee

Thanks Mindless

It's been decided, a lazy day all round - hooray. We had thought about going to the cinema to see Night at the Museum, but that can wait till later in the week too. Everyone's quite happy on assorted 'puter/playstation/DS games etc, what a geeky lot we are.

Got my parents coming up from S.Wales tomorrow, so hope they don't bring any fog with them, we had enough last week.

Now go & get yourself all gorgeoused (it's a Dotty word!) up, a bit of tinsel strategically placed & you can get away with anything. Works for me everytime :D

Ahh, gotta love Boxing Day... far more chilled out than yesterday.. but then.. for me it started really really well with a very special telephone call :D

Relaxed all day really - well, apart from doing all the ironing that has been slowly piling up in the utility room... managed to do that whilst watching The Grinch, Nicholas Nickleby (taped it last night) and White Christmas (gives you an idea of the amount of ironing there was!!!).

On here now for a little while, catching up on things and thinking about doing me diary! lol

Lazing in bed with nice thoughts until 10am eh mindless? That sounds rather wonderful :D Hope the visit with your brother went well too and that you followed Madam Dotty's tinsel tip!

Back to work in the morning for me :( still, it will be very quiet and hopefully the boss won't be in! :D

Hi, hope you all had great time, I never had time to come on as I was given the wonderful job of doing the dishes whilst everyone had there xmas dinner. Well by the time they had eaten the kitchen was gleaming.

Well I was doing very well until last night, dg had done the gammon joint, well I had to have some, so I had some gammon, chicken and was pretty good
