Good morning all - hope all's well with you all, have you been to the Doc's Bev, sounds painful & not at all nice, you want to get that sorted.

Just trying to catch up with 3 zillion threads as I've not been on Minimins over the weekend - rather busy birthdaying and having a lovely time. But eaten far too much so back to it today.

Catch you all later

Thanks MD - seems to be getting better. Mindless said he had it once and it just cured itself - and it does appear to be doing so. Will make an appointment if it doesn't though!

Know what you mean about catching up - I was away for 5 days and had 4495 posts to read!!! Ok well I didn't read all of them - but had a good few hours sat on my butt at the computer!!

Glad your birthday went well and you had a good weekend.

Hi Sonya

Just hiding downstairs! Before I blow my top when the kids ignore my instructions one more time!

I'm here, but not for long, got an absolute banging headache which is blinding at the moment. Carb withdrawal after all the sweet stuff I ate this weekend  . So just a quick catch up, NO arcade (loving the new double deuce game - was champeen for about ½ hour :D ) and then bath and an early night for me.

Catch you all tomorrow. Hope your necks better tomorrow Bev

How old are your kids ?
Well youngest son is fine, eldest twisted his ankle ...lol, if its not 1 thing its another......kids eh !

My eldest recently turned 10 the other two are 8 and 5 at the end of this month.

Be easier to chase after him though with a twisted ankle.:D

Mine nearly had their arms twisted behind their backs tonight. They just totally switch off when Mizzy and I tell them to do something.

They are lovely now though when they are sleeping!;)

hee hee I know the feeling, we are having trouble getting Callum to go to bed....Well Im off to bed now as it took me ages to get to sleep last night, thinking about bro and to get to see him.
Have a good night everyone...xx speak tomo.

Good morning, no snow just blooming cold & frosty though. Will wrap up later & take the dog for a walk, quite nice on a cold frosty day.

Busy day today lots of chores to do, so not too much time on the forum and I daren't even peek at the arcade or that'll be the rest of the morning gone.

Hope everyone's well today, and your neck's a bit better Bev. I've still got a bit of a headache, but nothing like last night, felt really rough & sick with it, so just went to bed & slept like a log.

Take care all - catch ya later
xx

Thanks MD - totally better now thanks!! Must have been the thought of making a Dr's appointment that cured it!

Ha, ha - well at least it's better.

It's a bit like when you book an appointment at the hairdressers cos it's all grown out and looking a mess and then lo and behold on the day of the appt it looks great!

Actually that reminds me I need to make another appointment - my hair is quite long now so I only go about every 3-4 months or so, usually cos my highlights need re-doing. On Friday when DH took me out for my birthday and we stayed in a hotel, the bathroom had really, really bright lights and when I looked it I noticed about a DOZEN grey hairs, that I hadn't noticed before  Time for a re-colour methinks!

LOL - know what you mean - have just booked my highlights and cut for Friday. Have always wondered why when I'm off to hairdressers my hair looks great - or day when we decide to stay at home and slob out - hair goes a treat! Important interview or night out .... can't do a thing with it!! Having said that not sure what the real colour of my hair is anymore. I go every 6weeks/ 2months for highlights.

Sonkie, Sonkie, where for art thou Sonkie?

I'll talk to you, but you're not here & when you're here, I'm not here - oh tis a dilemma.

I've got a bloomin Double Glazing man coming this evening, he came on Saturday and talked us into submission, I think me & DH were still a bit hungover from my birthday meal, so after signing our lives away (how much for windows and new facias:eek: ) I rung today to say we were cancelling. Needless to say he's hotfooting it round here on the pretext we need to sign something, but I know it's to try and persuade us otherwise. HOWEVER - I have my proper head on today and taking no sh*t of no-one, no siree, so Double Glazing man, do your best, but you can't beat the Dotty (not when she's on full steam ahead:D )

So just got time for a wee bit of arcading - loving Double Deuce.

I so did - but it took an hour - honestly how many times does it take to say "no" for it to get through. He kept coming back with different offers, but in the end he was annoying me so much I wouldn't have said if he'd practically given it to me. His last offer got DH interested who was giving "looks" but I said, very firmly, one last time, NO - I think the penny finally dropped. He didn't get offered coffee this time either!

I sometimes wish I wasn't so polite because I was longing to tell him to shut up and go away from the word go just about, but I sat and smiled and said no thankyou, I don't think so, no thanks, not at the moment, we don't want to commit.....blah, blah, blah and finally NO. But I'd love to be more assertive. My (12 year old) DD said we should have called her down & she'd have shown him the door, trouble is, she would have too!
