Threadstoppers United. For the new, nearly new...or even the old members :)

Morning thread stoppers!
Cold, frosty and foggy here ........... going back to bed weather - I wish I could! But have school run to do, then clients - so will see you all later.

And freezing

I so did - but it took an hour - honestly how many times does it take to say "no" for it to get through. He kept coming back with different offers, but in the end he was annoying me so much I wouldn't have said if he'd practically given it to me. His last offer got DH interested who was giving "looks" but I said, very firmly, one last time, NO - I think the penny finally dropped. He didn't get offered coffee this time either!

I sometimes wish I wasn't so polite because I was longing to tell him to shut up and go away from the word go just about, but I sat and smiled and said no thankyou, I don't think so, no thanks, not at the moment, we don't want to commit.....blah, blah, blah and finally NO. But I'd love to be more assertive. My (12 year old) DD said we should have called her down & she'd have shown him the door, trouble is, she would have too!

Wooo well done you, why do they have to go on and on, NO means no....lol.
An hour of waffle your ears must of been aching, funny how it takes an hour for no to get through.

Well its a little chilly down here but doubt we will get snow.....thats another thing I miss about Nottingham...at least when you get snow it settles. Not down here it dont.

Mornin' Sonkie - we've been promised snow tonight, but not too much. DD will be delighted though.

I always love waking up to a snow covered scene and walking in fresh, creaky snow, but hate it when it goes slushy and then re-freezes.

Think I'll have to dig out me thermals

Agree MD - love the snow when i haven't got to go anywhere or do anything important - but hate it when it goes slushy and then refreezes.

Yeh im fine bored though, so just been on the stepper....lol.
How is it with you, are you supposed to be getting snow tonight ?

We are supposed to be getting snow tonight. Boys are pretty excited. If we get a lot and the schools closed we'll have to dig the sledges out. We miss the snow:( (in a way) we used to live in Ottawa where there was feet of snow for several months of the year.

Well done for getting on the stepper!:D

My muscles are suffering from the punishment I've given them but with half term next week I'm not sure how much I'll get to the gym next week and with my gain last week...

Awww dont worry it will come off. You will have to race about and go sledging with the kids, we have had rain this afternoon so unless the temperature takes a nose dive I doubt we will get any.....boo hoo.
I`d love it to snow, Callum cannot remember snow he was only a baby when we left Nottingham. I got pictures of Daniel in his wellies with the snow going higher than his boots.

My OH's birthday tomorrow - so just made his favourite home made egg mayo salad sandwiches .... and put little Happy Birthday notes inside the sarnie box.

Going to set my alarm 30mins before he gets up - to give him his card .... and send him off to work with a smile on his face!!

Then on Saturday I've arranged a meal (he thinks it's just me and my daughters) but it's 25 people, family and friends. I'm a big kid where birthdays are concerned and love to surprise people.
