Tillymax is trying again

Evening Tilly,

It's so nice to see you back x

Now...what are we going to do with you? ;)

A reaction like the one you experienced should always be checked by a doctor. That was pretty nasty hunni, and when it affects the face it's so important to make sure that breathing isn't compromised. So if you ever have a reaction like that again...see your doctor!!!

Night night hunni, hope you sleep x

Dawn - I couldn't get into the doctors. At ours they only book for the day your ringing and the day after. The idea is that you've more chance of getting seen. You have to ring at 8am and 1pm to try and get an emergency appointment. I have never known a system like it cos I can never get in. I did try and explained what had happened and it was a case of oh I've nothing for today and tomorrows full until they release the emergency appointments. It's a stupid system and makes it impossible to see a doc if you work

In that case Tilly, if u really can't see a doctor or even the practice nurse, u need to present yourself at casualty, or the minor injuries and illnesses unit if u hav one.

It's so dangerous when your face is affected. And reactions can worsen in seconds, so no one would blame you for seeking medical help.

Anyway, I'm really glad you seem to be over the worst of it now thank goodness!

I suppose if your mouth was to swell up it'd be hard to get food in...although ice cream and melted chocolate wud slip down quite nicely...!

Morning Tilly

Happy Sunday lovely
between the pair of us me with the crusty face yours swollen
I bet we'd make an entertaining pair hahaha....

My doctors also adopted this batty booking system its totally
nuts that you have to ring up the day before to get an appointment
how the friggin hell do you know if your going to be ill or not

good evening tilly hope you are well :D

the problem with facial swelling is it could be the start of an anaphlaxis reaction, which could result in breathing problems:eek:

If it happens again you really need to see someone and if you can't see your doc then you should go to an a+e or a walkin center.

It might also be worth mentioning it to your dr and trying to find out what caused it, ideally you need to know that to stop it happening again:)

lecture over:eek:

big hug for you lovely cos you sound like you need one:bighug:

Hello :D

Today has been a good day so far. I've decided for the time being to try and live life like I do eating - one day at a time. Don't know if it will help but it's worth a try.

Mr Grumpy was off sick a few days last week but he came back today. I've realised it's not me he's snapping at. Well he is but it's when he gets frustrated. Instead of admitting that he hasn't got a clue he gets all nasty and cos I'm the idiot asking the questions, I'm the one who gets the hassle.

We had a walk out for 30 minutes today. Went for a coffee with a couple of the team which was nice. How come 30 minutes when you're not in work is like 30 seconds and 30 minutes inside work is like 3 hours

Took one of the dogs for a walk when I got home and he got twigs stuck in his fur - stupid dog. His feet are filthy. Might have to get him some wellies :)
I'm gonna take the other two out when I've had a catch up on here.

Hey tilly, hope you're having a good day lovely :bighug: xxx

It's good to be back :D

Good Morning :D

I'm still a bit down in the dumps (actually it's worse than that) but I'm hoping it will go away soon. Might need to see the doctor but will give it a few weeks first to see if I snap out of it. I'm fed of crying or feeling like I'm going to cry. Some of that could be due to lack of sleep but at the moment I'm having trouble sleeping but think some of that is caused by worry about feeling like I do. I can't be bothered to do anything so I might just slob about today.

Positives for today
1) I woke up
2) It's the weekend
3) I'm sat here eating grapes and reading diaries

Hi Tilly

Hope you feel better soon, and when you do can you please let me in on the secret cos that's exactly how I feel too just now.

If anyone knows how to buck me up a bit I'd love to know. Right now I could jack all this in and run away!!:wave_cry:

30 minute walk out ??? How bizarre lol
Was the issue of you all walking out resolved in those 30 mins ??

With you on the dog wellies I do believe I've seen some in pets at home or somewhere similar. Am pretty sure I would be wasting my money as my dog doesn't move if I even put a coat on him so god knows what he would be like with wellies think it might push him over the edge :)

1) I think talking really helps. Poor Jackie had to put up with me rambling away this weekend. Just pm me if you ever want to talk.

2) The whole diet/healthy eating thing is really a case of planning planning planning. After that just take it one day at a time. Start by trying to be 100% for one day and then try 2 days. Before you know it you'll have done a week. This is all a bit hypocritical of me cos I'm not 100% on plan at the moment but I know from experience this works.

3) Go easy on yourself. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. We wouldn't beat a child up cos he/she couldn't catch a ball or something like that. So why do we beat ourselves up.

Do you have a diary?

Is it the "diet" that's getting you down or is it life in general?

Today has been a much better day for me mentally so I feel more like me at the moment. I know I'm still really delicate and could easily go over the edge again but I'm just taking it one day at a time.

Like I said if you want to talk just let me know :bighug:

The walking out is an absolute waste of time cos we work flexi time so only make it up later

My dogs wouldn't move cos they are so pathetic. I've seen those slipper things that are supposed to polish your floor at the same time :)
