Tillymax is trying again

hope you have had a good day honey,

I rather like your doggy, think its rather cute.

I've been 100% today for the first time in a long time :D

I feel really chuffed with myself

In my quest to try new fruit and veg, I have decided that at some point over the next month I'm going to try dragon fruit, papaya, passion fruit and persimmon.

Can someone tell me what to do with them. Do you just eat them like you would an apple or do they have to be cooked or whatever. Any ideas would be welcome.

I'll be back tomorrow with a list of veg that I'll need instructions for :)

Thank you. I'll try it that way too :D

i could be very rude about dragon fruit:eek:
its awful will do:D

not tried papya but like all the others. Fresh figs are really nice too

i am going to broaden my horizons on veg this next month loads i have never tried:confused:
some i have and didn't ie but wondering if i might now

have a good day xx

I won't bother with the dragon fruit then if three of you think it's nasty

I'm doing the same. I'd never had bns before slimming world and now I can't imagine living without it. It's true our tastes change so it's worth a go with things you didn't used to like and if you roast them they always taste better :D

It's wild and windy here again. There were all sorts of bangs and crashes in the night cos of it. Our tin bin had blown over and now all the neighbours think we're alchies cos there was empty cans of lager and wine and beer bottles all over the street. Oh well it was good body magic getting them all back in the bin again ;)

Hubbie and son are out today so it's just me and Emma. We're watching chic flics and having a giggle :D

Morning hun, we were typing at the same time :D

So do you just eat figs as they are with a bit of honey? Can you add them to porridge?

I'm gonna try four new fruits and four new veg every month.

Artichoke two kinds Globe and Jerusalem

Globe are two much faffing they taste fab though boil removes the outter leaves which have flesh on and dip them in a dip ELF mayo or some such yummy you have to remove the hairy bit from the heart (center of the globe )
I tend to always buy tinned Artichoke hearts

Jerusalem treat the same as you would a potato

Aubegines great ........ baked in the oven garlic added and mashed together make a great aubergine dip also good griddled

Asparagus is my favourite veg lightly steamed or roasted is fab but will make your wee smell after eating haha

aubergines, i usually slice them the night before and put salt on them can't remember why:confused: lovely layered between mince and topped with cheese sauce (moussaka)

asparagus nice steamed just wash and steam, also nice wrapped in ham ( can make your wee smelly:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:)

never tried artichoke so it will be on my list too:D:D

hope that helps xxx

You've put me off, talking about the hairy bit

At least I know what to do with a potato :D

Make it smell of what  Can't wait to find out ;)

Mandy thats because Salting them use to be done to remove the bitter juices of the aubergine ... Its no longer needed to be done as Aubergines are now cultivated differently and are no longer bitter
