Tillymax is trying again

Aws, I'm sure as you say once they've finished the complicated stuff and you've been on the team for a couple of weeks things will settle down.

I wonder if they'll all go mental on the team christmas outing if they do that kind of thing, it's always the quiet ones

Today was a bit better. I still miss my old team cos I was so comfy with them but most of my new team are ok. The ones who like a laugh aren't sat near me so I can't join in the conversations. The people I'm sat with are very nice but boring Mr Grumpy says morning everday and that's it No attempt at conversation or trying to make me feel welcome. He just sits and works all day - silly sod.

Anyway it was nice today cos lots of my old team came to see me

I forgot to tell you about Halloween. One little boy said "I'm not allowed mars bars" and I said "I'm sorry but that's all I've got left" so he said "well you can have it back then" and walked off

Hope it gets better soon I would probably just talk anyway whether they responded or not lol I am a talker and love talking lol my daughter gets so embarrassed when we are out as I will talk to anyone !!!!! But also must have one of those faces that people think they can talk to as lots of random strangers talk to me too

Just like you I hate change. I think most of us do.

In a few weeks when you have got to know everyone and they come to realise how lucky they are to have someone as nice and caring as you on their team you will feel as if you have always worked with them and there will be mutual respect and liking.

Glad you're settling into your new job, so Mr Grumpy's not grumpy, so what the heck do you call him now :giggle:
Loving the little boy who gave you the mars bar back :8855::8855: that's exactly what Kia would do (my middle granddaughter) in fact if you lived this way I'd even swear it was her, she's a lovely girl but the way she dresses everyone assumes she's a boy until she takes her hair out and let's it flow :giggle:

Might have something to do with the invisible sign on your forehead that says "waifs, strays, losers and anyone with a sob story this way", cos I'm pretty sure that's what's invisibly tattooed on my forehead :giggle:
Laughed about you talking at your new workmates, I am the same I doubt I'd even notice they weren't talking to me cos they have to be pretty quick to get a word in edgeways anyway :8855: :8855:

I've just spent ages typing how awful my day has been and how depressed I feel and the bl**dy computer has lost my post. I can't be bothered typing it all again but I'll have to try and find a way of cheering up before I post on your diaries cos I don't want to bring you all down.

Lo - It's boiling where I'm sat now You can't win. After today I might need advice on how I claim jsa cos life is way too short to feel the way I do.

Could you have a word with your team manager to see if there's any chance of a moveabout if you're feeling this isolated?

You could mention that as Mr Grumpy keeps himself to himself and just gets on with his own work he's a difficult person to approach for asking where things are/how to do things while you're still adjusting. Sounds a bit more tactful than saying he's a miserable sod

Problem is there's no where to move to. They don't like moving people cos of the cost. If things don't improve I'll have to ask for a move. I'll try and wait til after Christmas and then I can say I've given it fair chance. That means I'll just have to come home and cry every might til then. I'm probably depressed today cos I thought things were improving yesterday.

Actually it will probably be sorted before Christmas cos I'll go from feeling sad to being angry and then he'd better watch out.

Everyone keeps telling me he's really nice - how the hell do they know - he never speaks.

I've tried so many times to make conversation and he's hard work. Well he can sod off.
