Tipperary will rock 2025

I'm making the most of the time while I have it. I've lost 6 months of this year and really don't know what I did with it.

Morning all, we got hammered by the storm in the early hours of Saturday morning and our side fence is down but damaged 3 cars while flying about. Mine and daughters is ok but darling husbands needs to go and be repaired. And we need to get new panels for the fence.

Hi all, finding it hard to focus this week and keep up the momentum. Bad food and nibbles sneaking into diet and exercise sneaking out. I had a few meals out with friends and a day out with the little kids which I used as exuces to let loose and that has resulted in weight gain. Needs to stop now and get back on track.

It's hard this time of year. And I find that best made plans go awry, based on other people. Don't be too harsh on yourself.

Morning all , hope you all had a good Christmas and Santa was generous.
I haven't been great, I was feeling a bit off and turns out I have the flu, been sick since last Saturday but think I'd been fighting it for a week or so before that. Spent 72 hours not sleeping, not able to swallow anything and going from roasting to shivering. Couldn't swallow paracetamol so got Lemsip but even that took a painful hour sip by sip to swallow and barely got 30 minutes relief. I'm coming out of it now but still sick. My body clock is all over the place.
Haven't weighed in or paid any attention to what I am eating, if I am hungry and can swallow then don't really care what it is.
I did manage to cook Christmas dinner and sit with the family for a while and Christmas night was the first night I got more than an hour's sleep.
It's 5 am now and I'm wide awake so might just get up and make some tea.
Going to have a lazy day and then tomorrow we have the second at home wedding reception. I was looking forward to it so much and have two amazing outfits to choose from but now all I'm thinking is what's the most comfortable thing I have to wear and how early can I come homeπŸ˜…. Thankfully it's not to far but we are putting some of the guests up at our house and I had promised lunch on Sunday to some others.
Will get through today and worry about it tom

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Hope you recover soon.

oh no - hope you're feeling better, and that you managed to enjoy the wedding reception

Morning all, had fun at wedding reception but still haven't managed to shake this flu off and throat still on fire. Haven't weighed in for two weeks now but will get back on track from today. Off to check what we have left in the fridge and make some soup and write a shopping list. I don't feel that swimming would be good for me yet.

Morning all, been out of action for a while but trying hard to get back on track now. Throat still a bit scratchy and skin still clammy, not 100% back but not sick either. Christmas excess (though not too much) and illness have given me about a 2kg gain which I hope to lose in just over a week. Once done will make a plan for the rest of the year. Ideally another 10kg loss will have me in a good healthy place.
We've had some snow which has turned into deadly ice so no one is leaving the house. It was fun Sunday and Monday when we could walk in the snow but now it is too deadly and beginning to get cabin fever. Can't drive to the pool, can't walk and can't even find somewhere comfortable to get back to my physio as all working from home due to dangerous driving conditions. Took my knitting out yesterday and am putting edging on the blanket I started during the summer as hand therapy and rewatching all of Downton Abbey.

Food cooked for the week, Cauliflower chhes soup with homemade chicken stock, aubergines stuffed with mince, kale, coleslaw made with homemade mayonnaise and keto chicken goujons coated in almond, parmesan and flaxseed. Having combinations of those each day either one or two meals daily. Also have eggs cheese and homemade chicken liver pate...well sorted for meals.

New team weight loss challenge now open for all to join

Food is sounding good. It's hard when you've been ill - I totally empathise! I've been looking at recipes and trying to sum up the energy to try some. I had a food shop delivered yesterday, so that's a bit of motivation anyway.

Thanks @Torn_Tranquility . Having that food kept me going for most of the week. Was doing well up to last night when I ended up on an accidental chocolate binge 😲, not something I ever do so really don't know why. Ate a pack of mini Chocolate Oranges. Really pissed at myself.
With son definitely moved out now we have cleared out his room and are redecorating it for daughter two. I got some paint and started the cutting in yesterday, got it done in two lots. My right hand is still very unsteady so it was good therapy for it.
Still locked in with the ice but it rained overnight so should be able to get out today. Need to write a list for food shop this week.

We keep talking about the work we need to do on this flat. With everything up in the air at work, we've been chatting about whether we make the move to go abroad now. I have a TEFL qualification, so starting to send out a few tentative emails to see what the work situation would be like. We both absolutely fell in love with Serbia.

Binge done - draw a line. We know these things do happen, and you know there's no point in beating yourself up

Chocolate kept going over the weekend so need to stop it now.

Food cooked for the week.
Thai green chicken curry to have with Konjac noodles
Pepper and tomato soup made with homemade chicken stock
Still have cooked meat in freezer
Still have homemade keto goujons in freezer
Have cheese, ham and eggs
Have lettuce, tomatoes and Pak choi

Sounds like you've got this. Sometimes a day of meal prepping is exactly what's needed
