TooFatKats diary of desperation ..(and hope)

Think I'm too much of a wimp. :/

Well I've been to Keswick for the weekend. . Finding decent food was actually quite difficult which I thought was a bit strange. My downfall was a deliberate and planned choice as I had promised myself some grasmere gingerbread- yummy yummy :) I've not had any for at least 20 years but it's as delicious as I remember , anyway I've now cut each piece in half and frozen it all . I do allow myself treats as I think we need to live and total abstinence will only cause a downfall in the long term.
I need to get back to filling in mfp. I've not done it for nearly a week and it doesn't feel right. It's become a habit I need to carry on.

That's right hun, you can't hide from food forever :D

Good start to the day, had my protein shake for brekky. Made by lunch - new potatoes, bacon, rocket, tomatoes and cucumber with a honey and mustard dressing. Yummy. I think tea might have to be beans on toast though. Going to be a bit rushed tonight after work .

Oh that lunch sounds gorgeous!! I'd have that in a pitta, flat bread or a wrap yum! When I ate meat, I used to fry a bacon medallion, then cut it up in little pieces and fry again, not so they go really crisp but just like really salty... :)

Ok I had a sneaky peak at my weigt this morning as I wasn't feeling any lighter. I was disappointed to see I've nit lost any weight this week or last week.
I'm getting worried as I'm mow at the weight that I've been hovering around for 18 months and can't seem to get below. :(
I'm terrified that I'm going to stay at 15:3 for the rest of my life.
What can I do?
Is it psychological?
Do you think hypnotherapy would help?

You can do it!!

As someone said to me lower your cals.. Or maybe your not eating enough! Change your exercise routine try something different..

Don't give up!!

I've got stuck where I am too!! And it's not the first time either!! I think ours bodies sometimes just take a couple weeks rest - they don't understand we don't agree with that holiday though ;) just persevere it will come!' xxxx

I've been using mfp and SW so I have 'treats' not really allowed on xen but stick to around 1200 calories and 45 g of fat. So generally ok.
I just think that if I can get another half stone off then I'll be lower than I have for 17 years and my head will tell me that I really can get to my target of 11 stone.
It's scary

Aww Kat, you're having a rough time, don't get disheartened, you can do this and will get to goal. Sometimes out bodies just become used to what we're doing and we have to plough through the STS and we will loose again. You coould try shaking things up a bit, drop your cals by 50 or keep to 1200 and stop the treats for a while. Sometimes we just need a jolt to get going again.

Green tea has been used as a weight loss aid, and comes in a capsule which is best taken at bedtime or away from the Xenical if you'd like to give that a go.

As for hypnotherapy, there are hyno bands and there has been mixed results with these, everyone is different when it comes to hypnotherapy ans how acceptable you would be to that.

Stick it with hun, and see how you go :)

I personally don't like Green Tea on its own but the mixed green tea with jasmine isnt too bad and I can stomach it. Don't dispair hun we are all here fo ryou x

You can get it in capsule form, which I have :)

I don't mind green tea. I've got green tea with lemon at the minute. I do have to be in the mood for it though.
Last night in asda I discovered a large tub of 'chosen by you' lemon yogurt that fits in the rules and is absolutely heavenly and so more-ish . :) the downside is I've now finished it :(
2 days left til WI at SW . Hope I've lost something it's so slow at the minute.

Glad you're back. It seems to be very slow for me at the minute which I'm finding very scary as I'd hoped that xen would get me below my sticking point. I'm back at the point where I can't get below and it's scary. I think once I get below 14:10 I can do it no problem but I fluctuate between 15:3 and 14:10. I'm back ar 15:3 and now I think it's psycological and that's why it's so slow. I'll persevere j always do but it gets disheartening :(
We can do it. Good luck with your WI tomorrow

You could always take green tea in a capsule, it does help. Try not to get disheartened hun, you'll start loosing again, like you said it's probably all in your head and maybe the stress of worrying about it, makes it worse :bighug:

oh I hope youre right Violet, Im determined to do it however long it takes, Im here for the long haul but I could do without a blip at this stage in the game.

Last night I had a bit of a light bulb moment. Not over my diet as such but just something I hadn't linked with xenical.
For the last few months I've been having less energy and getting more and more tired.
Normally in my job ( teaching at college) you work like mad during term time and them collapse as soon as you hit the summer holiday for a few weeks. This normally is fine and I look forward to going back to work.
This year it hasn't worked like that. I had no motivation to do extra work in preparation for the new year . I've sat down and died whenever possible. For the first time ever I've not wanted to go back to work. I still have no energy . I'm only losing weight very slowly . And I'm permanently tired still.
I was only taking a multi vitamin when I remembered but I've realised that the tiredness is probably due to the xenical as well as me being anaemic again. (it happens every few years).
So my goal for the next few weeks is to take iron tablets as well as my multi vit. Hopefully energy and motivation will return. I hate feeling like a slug.

Hope your energy returns soon. I get anaemic now and then too and don't realise until some time after, then it dawns on me just why I am so tired!

Best of luck for the next few weeks.

I know, it's stupid. It's been happening every few years since I was 14. I'm normally ok for ages then because it happens slowly it takes a while if feeling crap for light to Dawn . I think it's worse cos xen causes tiredness as well.
C'est la vie etc etc :)

Well hopefully the iron tablets should do the trick. Try apricots too, they're nice chopped up with muesli. I'm sure it won't be too long before you have more energy.

I'm here for the long haul too hun...so we'll do this together :)

This would have an impact on how your body uses it's energy so it could be the reason why things haved slowed and stuck for a bit.

Hopefully by taking the multi vit and your iron tablet everyday you'll see an improvement on both sides :)

This time of year makes us tired too, the cooler months and the cosy nights, then once the heating goes on, if you're anything like me I'm nodding off while watching tv lol!

I think many of us are here for the long haul!!

And tbh considering 90% of people who loose weight put it back on - we have all the right tools in place good nutrition slow weight loss determination and good support networks (shout out to everyone who's on here!!)

Come on we will all get there someday!! Xx
