I had that same feeling when I reached the 14s think that's when I pretty much thought wow I'm getting there now :)
Well done that's awesome!! X

Boy what a week . It's been an expensive one as well. :( all 3 cars needed servicing taxing and 2 MOT's. Not good. Then to top it off last night a young girl decided to reverse into my car door! She was do apologetic though, only 19. Doesn't want to go through the insurance for obvious reasons. But I don't think the quote will be a good one either.

My middle child , eldest daughter has been I'll all week and doctor is talking glandular fever:( which isn't good. This is her A level year. She doesn't like to miss school st all. In fact even when she was hit in the face by a hockey ball she refused to come home!
She is very sociable and active and it's hard seeing her with no life or energy and I don't think she's realised that this will probably affect her for quite a while.
At work it's not looking good. I was told they may cut my class due to lower numbers. Now they can't just get rid of me due to my contract but they can put me somewhere else doing something I can't or dont want to do. Think I need to start looking elsewhere.
Food wise this week I've been Pretty good despite everything. Only a few wanderings into the choc and cake department :)
Roll on Tuesday for WI at SW

Oh dear not a great week then! I hope she feels ok soon - my sister had it through her gcses not pleasant but somehow they get through it :)

Sorry to hear about your job situation that sucks too! I suppose it's nice to have a bit of security knowing they can't just turf you out though?!

Well done on food! Not sure I would have been so strong big well done :) and good luck for tue!! Xxx

Aww Kat, not a great week hun, but stay postive on the food front, don't let it get to you.. I hope your daughter feels better soon :)

OMG what a week its been but on top of my daughter being ill and the cars costing a fortune, Ive just finished and assignment and Im about to upload it onto the college VLE :)
Food has been pretty good although today Ive made pumpkin pie and chocolate fondants - yummy yummy but fatty fatty. :(
I can resist the chocolate fondant puddings but I will taste the pumpkin pie. It only comes round once a year after all...

the other thing that comes around once a year is christmas and I woke up this morning feeling slightly christmassy and thinking I should start planning it. I cant unfortunately do anything about the food this year as we are going to my mother in laws. we dont go often so I will jsut make the best choices I can. which to be honest wont be bad at all so I should be ok. At new year I tend to have a family gathering/party so Im going to start planning the food for that. I'll be making everything as usual so need to find low fat stuff. I will need food for New Years eve as well as New Years Day. so recipe books here I come.

I've been thinking of starting a blog about healthy food for weight loss as I love cooking. I was sat last night reading an Eating for Victory war time recipe book that I love , nit for the good as it was very carb and fat based but for the history and info. It's all the leaflets they gave out so that people could cook their rations for families and everyone got the correct amount of vitamins etc . Their calories varied between 900 and 1200 cals per day. It's quite amazing what they lived on .

I was wondering if it was possible to go back to eating this way with the obvious modern versions and whether I could adapt the recipes as I refuse to use dried egg!

It would be quite an experience and also probably much cheaper as food Is getting ridiculous prices

That's a very interesting idea.. Just seen the book your talking about online for 87p plus 2.80 p&p

its quite an enlightening read, very basic wartime ration recipes but the blurb in the book goes on about how they were never hungry despite the rations. Im going to get out all the food that they could have for one week per person and show my kids. they dont know how lucky they are! obviously it was all supplemented by quite a bit of homegrown veg.

Just had an unexpected visit from mr T!
I can't for the life of me work out what it was. I'll just have to go back over mfp and try and find the culprit :(

It prob was the sleepwalking midnight snack you don't remember having ;0)

I had a weight loss blog...sort of my own personal progress, exercise, recipes etc etc I stopped doing it as it takes a lot of time. I have been thinking about restarting it up now that I'm following tfr :)

It's ok I know what it was. I was working in London and ( had) to eat a Heston blumenthals square mince pie with pine sugar :) I'd forgotten about it as it wouldn't have normally been on my radar. But I love his weird cooking so I had to experience it.

The moral of the tale is this. Yes it was good but not worth the effect. Two days so far of mr T.
