TOUGH LOVE-APPLY WITHIN

Weighed in tonight and 3lb off making me 5.5lb under target, so I'm going to revise my target down to somewhere around where I'm at now . . . I've been running, walking and going to the gym loads. School holidays start next Friday and I'm going to be creating my own little personal boot camp for me and my dogs (shall we have a "boot camp for dogs" thread in our new TL section?!), so the weight is definitely not going back on.

I cleared out my wardrobe and drawers yesterday with the help of my MIL. All size 18 and 16 clothes have gone. I had very few size 14s and had already given the trousers to my MIL, but the tops still look ok. So pretty much just size 10 and 12s in there now. The drawers under my bed are EMPTY and there's not much in my other drawers! It's a wonderful feeling :) and I'm looking forward to clothes shopping which I have always hated before.

Just did my walk, 0.95m in an impressively slow 15:41, and that was going as fast as I could walk. Blimey I hadn't realised how out of shape I was. Not depressed though, felt good good good to be making a positive change.

Best thing was, I just got back from work, chucked on an old suit and my new shoes and just went for the original route that I'd planned, with my nice woollen work coat on. Just another commuter striding home.

And the above paragraph could NOT have been written without you lot, here in this thread. So a big thanks from me.

Weigh in tomorrow, should be a good one.

well done you!!!!!!! let us know how you get on at weigh in tomorrow :)

Well, I am just going to phone all the family planning clinics and see if they can see me sooner and get this implant out! I need to just pick myself up , keep my chin up, and do everything I can to shift the number downwards! I am going to weigh in group tomorrow night. knowing or not knowing doesn't really change the facts, and I need to know what I'm working with.

Thanks everyone for your replies :)

thats the spirit keep fighting girl

Kaboom! 4.5 down this week at SW. After I was robbed last week. I'm happy with that and back in the 11's to boot.

well blow me down!!! thats a well impressive loss girly...and after your very naughty salad lol. well done, keep at it!!

in to report on my meal, well i blew it totally, ive had everything i shouldnt have and im giving up...

.NOT!i had stuffed jalapenos which i budgeted for, then prawn salad with a spicy soy sauce dressing and small pot of soured cream, the 1 scoop of lemon sorbet for pudding, while my mum sister and friend had...potato skins loaded with cheese, cheese and bacon topped chicken and wedges, steak and creamy mash, then pecan pie and apple toffee pie for puding, they all thought i was insane but i felt damn well virtuous. i enjoyed it, im not overly full or bloated with carbs and i have stayed at 1200 cals all day...roughly, ive had to estimate the cals in the meal and have put in larger amounts than i think they were to be on the safe side but even so i did good, i had one gin and slimline tonic when i got there then just had water....im BACK! and feeling great. walking tomorrow, i want a pound off this week by friday.

Well done Lou! Knew you would do it in style :)

this is rollin nicely tonight

Excellent Bonnie, but I'm sure that 4.5 woulda been a 5 without your dopey lunch choice - actually thats not true, but you KNOW what to do next time. Well done, but thats done, grind on

Nice going Lou, hope you make the drop you want, thats was a tough chicane this week. Keep planning the plan. Just the hen night to go!!

LisaJade - the ladies are better qualified to help you and they have, but I promise when you need my special brand of assistance, I'll be here. I think I know what you've been up to, look me in the eye.

IT WASN'T BROKE, but it is NOW - so fix it again and get on plan. And log in daily OK?

Clarri, yep I'm driving with three very skinny dudes in waders, all I want to know is the best bass mark really!!! LOL

I am staying in the Grand Hotel in Tramore

I will be negociating the naked man of Kilfarssy and Annestown at some point plus many others for the fishing

The rest foodwise I need to sort! I have this weekend relatively free to sort and pack, so I'll give my wants some thought and let you know - thank you

Smiley - well done for getting out there sister, just another dude walking home..you'll be in 36's soon enough and running me down in 'em, go for it

Rod, get the jeans!! and a smaller belt as well!! As you drop a bit more, you'll need it for the ones you just bought. Had a good chuckle at you having a girly moment in the supermarket....not what I would have though our fearless leader gets up to of a lunchbreak!

Glad to hear ur coming to Ireland!!! As well as bringing your own stuff ....would it be poss to ring the hotel and see if they can give you fruit/snacks to take with you when you're heading out? Not sure if thats a very un-matcho thing to suggest, but sometimes this can be done on the qt and can make all the difference.

I had one of those moments yesterday...was in Tescos, and tried on a size 14 (havent worn that in about 3 years)...just to see how far away from it I was....and it fit! I couldnt believe it. Its funny the little things that really motivate you...realising I was already at that size was just the best feeling!
I was in a bad road accident two years ago. Couldnt do much for about 18 months...devastating stuff as I was a half marathon runner, and really quite active. In the last six months I have been able to gradually get back into an active-ish lifestyle, the best bit of which is running again. I ran a 5 mile race last weekend, and felt like superwoman. Thats what Im loving about this thread....its keeping me honest with myself and the food...which is the bit was really holding me back. Im the one in control...and with four stone gone...Im here to finish the job and maintain.

thats a great post - and you will finish the job

the hotel is doing take outs I've found for the nocturnal types who miss breakfast - thats likely to be me - I'll find out what it is and wor on that

this is gonna be the toughest thing to work around yet so far - I'm hoping the ground is really steep and gnarly to be honest, I can just attack it and use any old grub I can find as fuel - I'm gonna be focussed on the fishing and the plan is really very secondary in my mind once I arrive I know this

I've gone days without food in the past, I really don't want this to be the case this time - once i had my own sashimi on the coast I was so hungry, lol

I need to work on this mindset I know!!

I know that Lou is gonna wheel the herbs out now....

It appears you all did spectacular things whilst I was asleep. Well done Smiley, Lou, and Sally.

Keep positive Lisa. You can do it. And deffo get an appointment asap.

Planning a good day today- we're winding down to the end of term so playing some games with my students and then after-school I'll be off to the supermarket (walking there!) to get myself from Yoghurts and Swimming Goggles. The Korean man sharing my lane told me I needed 'swimming glasses' yesterday, haha. (I think he thinks this will improve my swimming...)

Then after that, it'll be home for a run on my elliptical and cooking a healthy dinner. It's going to be a good day!

I'm totally apathetic about football teams and most sports except for Rugby... my Dad's welsh so I'm a big fan of the Wales team. :)

And no lecturing Starlight. You do whatever feels right for you. I try to weigh less than twice a week because I can get a bit obsessive about it sometimes i.e. weighing myself twice a day which I don't like, but that's just personal. If it works for you, then carry on.

Are you scary shouty people going to be scary and shout if I admit to daily weigh ins?
Depends, do you do it because you are sticking to your plan and think that the daily check helps boost your confidence? Or are you a bit of a slacker who wavers a bit and wants to check that the sneaky snack yesterday afternoon "didn't make much of a difference, all things considered?"

If you do daily weigh-ins, I'd put them in a spreadsheet, so you can make a nice graph that will show a big downwards slope over time, that wil be more motivating. Or keep a diary and work out how much you've lost since 4 weeks ago, instead of yesterday.

(Oxford Utd, for my sins)

Yes rod I'm here with my herbs and vitamins. You know what to do.

Starlight I weigh in daily and I don't care what anyone says, it helps when I gain 3 pound overnight despite only having 1200 cals, cos I can feel
Confident it's water retention. My scales are all over the shop this week. Ranging from 10.11-11.2 I've been rubbish on the drinking water front so it definitely that with me. Today my mission is to rehydrate myself.

Ooh are we doing chit chat? Ok here goes...
In a flap this morning and running late, 15 month old decided to climb out her cot and pull everything out the drawers. But I'll be back soon. After my walk. Laters baby ;) (wonder how many ppl know what I'm on about)

3.3kgs lost, not as good as I was hoping for. Definitely need to up the exercise now, no excuses. That walk will be daily, and I'm going to get myself up to a 4mph stride.

I believe that to be about an 8lbs loss, which is pretty good in my book. Well done.

Don't put yourself down Smiley- every loss is a loss in the right direction. Positive thinking. Walking is never a bad thing but be pleased that you achieved something :)

Phew well done Lou, I was worried you were going to fall off the wagon there for a while, and if you went, my morale would take a right beating. So glad to hear you smashed it and it doesn't sound like it was too painful.

Well done for the loss smiley. That is a loss of half a stone - you should be really pleased with that!!

Maybe the fact that you wanted more will push you on for next week - it has for me. I have been cutting my syns down to about 6-8 instead of the 15 I am allowed on my diet. The walking everyday will def help those lbs fall away and it will get easier for you as well! Remind me again, are you calorie counting or on a specific diet plan?

Smiley is that in a month? Or a week?

This thread really works....I just went to our kitchen at work and was faced with four huge trays of Ferrero Rocher - which once upon a time were my kryptonite. But i just thought of having to confess and the whooping I woud receieve, and not letting you all down etc etc and walked away. Woohoo!

On another note, does anyone know how to add the SW badges to their signature? I got my 1/2 stone award last night and want to show it off.
