Tracy's Journey Into The Unknown (Maintenance!!)

I just realised it's three years today since I embarked on this weight loss project. It seemed very daunting back then, needing to lose about half of myself, but after taking it one day at a time for a thousand days or so, I can definitely say it's been worth it! :) xx

Well done I'll be joining you in October. How life has changed hey xx

You should definitely treat yourself to something if you can to celebrate this :) Maybe a charm of some scales or something? Or a piece of jewellery so you can look at it and remember how far you've come?! :)

I read the bit about 'thousand days' and gulped and thought 'crikey!' but then I realised it's already been 124 days - more than 10% of that - and they've all flown by :)

You've done amazingly! You should be hugely proud of yourself :)

Ah you put me to shame Tracy. I've technically been at this malarky for 4 years!!

But you should be proud of that! And I agree, should do something to celebrate!

Thank you both, PSP and Stackhead! :) It really is amazing how quickly it's gone, I can't believe it's been three years. It really doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as we're generally heading in the right direction, and you both definitely are! Maybe I will do something to celebrate, but it might have to wait until I get paid again, lol. :) xx

Oooh I agree, do something to mark the occasion :D

Many congratulations on your journey, Tracy, I too read the 1000 days and went "Blimey" (actually something ruder than that hehe) - but you're right, it's all about one day at a time xxx

Lol, thanks Susie! It really doesn't feel like it's been a long time, but when you think of it in terms of days it does sound like a while, doesn't it?! :D xx

It's already August, but the way things are flying by - hopefully we'll all soon be skinny minnies too :D

We can cheerlead for you too then ;)

Well done Tracy, might it be that you're starting to maintain without thinking about it much? Great news, anyway xxx

Thanks, Susie. Yes I was chuffed to still have a 10-something as I was sure it was wrong the week before, lol. I am more or less maintaining now - I go down by small amounts, then have a break every so often and go back up again, so overall stay pretty constant. :) xx

Very glad to hear it :D I'm guessing now you're an itsybitsyteenieweenie tracy there's not much more to go down now ;) :D

You changed your diary title! Am I just unobservant or is this a recent thing? :D

Lol, I changed it at lunchtime, after someone kindly told me how to do it! Been meaning to for ages, as the post-op countdown to my 50th was two years ago!! :D xx

Good to know! Thought i'd just been terribly unobservant!

I don't think maintainance is completly unknown to you now though! You've been at goal for 6 months?
