Tracy's Journey Into The Unknown (Maintenance!!)

Wow its like you're another person. Looking amazing! !.

Thanks, Rachel! I must admit I feel like a different person too, lol. That's one reason I'm always so keen to cheer others on who've got a lot to lose, because I know how good it does feel and want them to feel it too. :) xx

Wow, look at you!! And sitting in a plastic garden chair - I used to dread those lol x

Thank you! Oh, grief, I know what you mean - standing up and the chair coming with you!! :O That happened to me watching Kathryn at a swimming lesson once - the OH never let me live that one down! :) xx

Re: Tracy's Post-Op Countdown to the Big 5-0

You certainly don't look 51.. I don't believe you lol. Hope you have had a lovely day. X

Lol, flattery will get you everywhere Rachel - thanks for that! Had a lovely day, thanks, though feeling oddly eager to get back to low calorie/fat tomorrow; would never have believed that! :) xx

Re: Tracy's Post-Op Countdown to the Big 5-0

Funny how our bodies can react to our old foods and how we begin to crave our new healthy choices.

I know - I was determined to have this blowout, because I think it's important to have them periodically in order to get it out of my system. And I did enjoy it, but boy do I feel sick and bloated! Bleurgh!! :D xx

Always safer to give yourself permission to have a blowout then you don't feel as guilty. You will feel better again tomorrow. Xx

Yes, that's it exactly! And this time I seem to be able to go off plan for a few days and then get back to it straight away (fingers crossed!) - I've never been able to do that on previous weight loss efforts, which gives me hope that I may have finally learnt my lesson, lol. :) xx

Re: Tracy's Post-Op Countdown to the Big 5-0

That's a great achievement in itself. I hope to be the same one day. Seeing how far you have come gives me hope. :)

I'd love to give hope to others, Rachel! It's so true that if I can do it anyone can - I've failed so many times and had more or less resigned myself to being middle aged and morbidly obese. I just wish I could tell you what changed to make me try yet again! :) xx

I very often think that I am just meant to be this way :( but I know that's not really true - I just hope something clicks with me soon

Yes! That's exactly the thinking I'd fallen into. I do wish I could tell you what changed. I could say health reasons, but it was another year after my knee went on me before I got down to it. It's still largely a mystery to me, unfortunately. I suppose everyone's trigger is different in any case. :) xx

I do have health issues with my hips. That's why I am doing it but i just find it hard to keep on track still especially when like now my hubby is sitting here eating crisps.

Oh, husbands are the worst, lol. Mine's an athlete who trains intensively 7 times a week, so I just have to get used to him eating whatever he feels like! :D xx

Its not fair when they can eat whatever they want :( I had to grow up with a brother like that.

Lol, yes my sister was the skinny one in our family! But now middle age and motherhood have caught up with her and she's a bit bigger, though will never be as big as I was at my heaviest. :) xx

I have always been the biggest sister but now I am the smallest out of the three of us. I am glad I am not the biggest anymore especially as my Dad used to drop sly comments to me about my weight..... He's huge himself so I could never get why he thinks it's ok to say things like that.
