Finished the essay! Just presentation to sort now!
Yes, not too much to go and I really feel I need a final push for the last few off.. Today was a flop... Mostly ok, but a bit of a shake at 4pm and I had a kit Kat, then a couple of other bits when I got home! Will fast tomorrow though, and hopefully end of the week will bring something little off!

You are doing well with your course work, I need to get my head into mine, I've a fairly quiet weekend ahead as my children will be at their dads ( which I hate :( ) I'm going to get cracking with it then x

Yay for a loss! Well done :) Sounds like the course work will at least distract you from them not being there. My OH gets home on Saturday from two weeks away - been a mad juggle so looking I forward to some support! This two weeks has been mental! Bring on half term :)
WI tomorrow - hoping for sts again.. Been ok week but not perfect!

Good luck with course work :) I only have two essays across the year, so not big really - a lot of homework, research and drawing to do though!
There's a little exhibition of our work in the local town hall (now arts centre) from tomorrow .. Will be interesting! X

Hey lady! I'm ok thank you :) still here!!
Maintaining on the weight front :) :)(though 4 more off would be ideal!)
Back front is poo:( actually made myself take an avo off college last week as it was ridiculous - could not sit or stand, but literally had a mental fight with myself about going home lol!
College is amazing still, assessments next week then hoping to specialise in textiles for the rest of the course:)

How's you and your back and diets and things? I keep popping in and out :) xx

The last 3 weeks Ive lost 2.5, 0.5 and 1.5 then this week gained 1, because Ive upped my painkillers for my back. Im on 17 a day now :-( I have my MRI results and it shows 3 things, I have a Schmorls Node, I have an Osteophyte and also a herniated disc between T 8 and T9, im going to the docs tomorrow to ask what all this means in simple terms, and discuss options for pain relief. The Doc has said on my letter if the Gabapentin arent working then he would recommend referral to a spinal surgeon. I dont want to go down that route unless its a last resort.

Oh Lordy no wonder you've been in so much pain!!! I hope they manage to get the pain relief sorted for you.. I know the surgery is not ideal but may not be a bad thing to just discuss with a surgeon - and won't necessarily mean surgery but you could be more informed at least.

Ive been back to docs and im on Tramadol now for the pain, it is helping but god it makes me sleepy :-( Ive got my appt to see the spinal surgeon on 25th February so will see what happens then. xx

I'm ok thank you! Week off was nice, but this week been manic! Oh no tramadol :( I won't go on it as I'd never cope with the house/kids/life lol! Hope it eases things tho:)
I got to the end of my tether last week when I found my rheumatoid referral not til 15 Feb, pain been ridiculous so I booked appt with an acupuncture friend. Had two sessions now and definitely helping. Though there's clearly something going on with my spine, the pain seems to be exacerbated by emotional stuff (mum and other stuff related) which I need to work through. The treatment he's given me has helped loads already and tho it's obviously costing, it is so worth it. Will be a built up effect, but I'm already taking less drugs. :)
Having a well deserved lazy Sunday morning before I catch up with ALL the housework!!

Hi hunni - the Tramadol are making me really sleepy lol but they are helping the pain a lot. Im at the point where I can feel myself dozing off @ my desk oops.
Im off this week to finish off my xmas shopping I hope. February seems ages away for our appt's :-(

Its good that the visits are helping you but boo to the cost, could you ring and see of there are any cancellations?

Stress has a massive impact on our lives sometimes we dont realise just how much, I know before SW it used to play havoc with my IBS. x
 
Oh the joys of it all!! How was your week off? I took two days off college last wk for shopping and I'm not quite done yet! At least the kids are sorted I think so not worried about the rest!

Hmm, they have me on the cancellation list for the appt in Feb, just keeping my fingers crossed.. I haven't got the energy to worry about it!

Acupuncture made the biggest difference this last week - had bout 7 days where I've taken no drugs or minimal, but bot been having to take them first thing to get around! It's always still there in the background, but been a much better week:)
Back to utter stiffness today - I mainly think from vacuuming yesterday :( so ridiculous!! Drugged up now and waiting for them to kick in.

Diet wise I'm happily maintaining around 9st10 give or take a lb here and there :)
I still would like to shift down to 9st7 but unlikely this side of Christmas! 2 days of 600 cal, 3 days sw-ish and weekend whatever and I'm finding it quite ok really.. It'll be a year on 2nd jan that I started sw again and I'm so pleased I've basically lost 1.5st since then.

Anyway, better get up and get if I can move!!!

Hi chick

Ive quite enjoyed my week off, mainly chilling and having lovely lie ins. Ive got most of my shopping done, it was my SW party on Friday, its my works drinks night out I think they are planning food arghhh.

Oh I hope you get a cancellation hun theres nothing worse than being in bloody pain. Luckily the tramadol is keeping mine at bay, I didnt take any on Friday cos I knew id be drinking and my god I felt it yesterday I was in agony (the dancing like a loon wont have helped lol).
 
Ha, I'm the same when I'm drinking, and go for the alco pain relief instead!! it's so worth it to let your hair down but yes you pay double the next day!!!!!

Nearly a year ago on 2nd Jan I started my slimming world journey from home with the help of this site, 5:2 followed when I needed an extra boost, and now a year on I am 1st6lb lighter and a lot happier with myself!!
I know I'm not here much any more (mainly due to madness of college!) but I would not have done it alone without the support and inspiration from this place!
Small hurdle of Christmas eating to overcome, not helped by hubby who keeps bringing home cheese from work, but hoping I'm now in a routine that'll work and and I won't overdo it too much!
