Well done you on the 4lb off.
Your situation now was my situation with my husband 5 years ago.
We had lived like "mates" for several years & then we split up, but we continued to live in the same house at opposite side of the stairs for another 18months until we sold our house & sorted out finances. We would get to top of stairs & he would go in 1 bedroom & me in the other.
It was a tough time & a lot of tears were shed - by both of us - just wasn't right though to be together as a married couple.
Now, 5 years on , as you know - we are the best of friends & I love him dearly - like a brother.
Forget your age in worrying about starting again - just think of the experience you have & how, although it will be hard to start off ,you will get there xx Take Care

You are welcome - I trust Mark implicitly - more so because he had the courage to actually end our marriage which was obv wrong when I was happy to go along with blinkers on knowing it wasn't right.
We get on so well now as friends that he has a key to my flat, will always be there to help me & was even going to move in next door ! Someone beat him to it though.
When I met someone new after we had split & that went wrong after a couple of years, it was Mark who I called for a chat & advice !
He has a partner & they have been together a good few years now but he still lives alone & looks out for me - best friend I could ever want.
Sounds like things will work out ok for you too xx

I'm happy things worked out so well for the two of you - and you're right it sounds a very similar story, so I'll keep my fingers crossed mine will have a similar ending
