Where the bargains are at and anything else thats useful.

I am adding this here, as well as on the main board, because imo it is horrible to be enjoying a food you think is free, only to find, after a month of eating it, and not losing much! it should have been synned....
Just adding this in because....

I found this earlier, and thought a few of you would find it interesting, because I know you have these crisp makers.
Q,
when you say.... That free foods used for something else have to be synned...does this mean if i use potatos to make what i thought was syn free crips using the microwave crisp maker....theyre not??

A,
No they're not syn-free. However, syn them and they're only 3½ syns for 28gms which should make quite a few crisps (far fewer than a bag of crisps).
I'm a big believer in moderation in all things, so a few of anything like this is not going to have much effect on your weight, it's when you get to making loads of them and eating them in preference to 'proper' food that the problems begin.

:read:I got my SW books out today:read:and i am so happy that I did, I found an alternative to frylight that can be found in Aldi for £1.20 something, it's called less cal, its in a metal bottle and apparently you don't have the same problem getting the last bit out of it like you do with Fry light! Tesco does an alternative to Bovril it's called Beefy and I bet thats lots cheaper too, I also discovered that we can use Tesco value cheese triangles as HX's, I really thought we could only have the laughing cow!!! The next posts are going to be yoghurts/fromage frais alternatives to Mullerlights.

Is Beefy ok then? Only I had a look at it and the cals and protein were a fair bit higher than Bovril so I didn't buy it. Was much cheaper though!
