Mine came from when i was in secondary school. My name's Emma....somehow i ended up with the nickname Emu....which i loved/hated, so in trying to make it 'cooler' (as you do when you're in school!) it ended up as Emoo....its just stuck now with all forums and stuff!

No offence taken. You wouldn't believe the stick I get from friends, family and work colleagues about it. But at least I'm using my brain (if only a tiny bit) to play it than sitting watching the mindless drivel shown on tv like TOWIE/90210/Eastenders/Hollyoaks/etc.
I'm a gamer, a geek and I freaking love shoes and handbags. Can't all be perfect but I like it :) xx

My other half is exactly the same (without the handbags and shoes :eek:) and I wouldn't have him any other way. Besides, i'm a total Star Wars fanboy(girl) so I can't talk about geeks :rolleyes:

Only really liked Stargate Atlantis and the one on the ship which I can't remember the name of!
Also loved Babylon5 I know that makes me sad!

Once upon a time back in 2001, I joined a web forum called dogbomb.co.uk. My user name there was Minxoid, "like a cuboid, but minxier". I suspect I may have been a little bit off my tits when I came up with that one. Anyhoo, over time I progressed up the ranks there and as I progressed I changed my username, so by the time I was an ubermoderator I was Uberminx, and then I became an administrator, but by then everyone just called me Minx. I was there for about 7 years and eventually left after taking my blinkers off and discovering that the site owner was far more of a knob than I realised.

I joined other forums like digitalspy but there, Minx was pretty much taken already so I needed to find a variation that suited my advancing years, so went for the more sedate and slightly pretentious sounding MadameLaMinx. And that came with me to here.

I'm so disappointed MLM - I have always assumed your username had something to go with your secret life as a dominatrix :)

Mine is a rather mundane reason. My hubby is a massive spurs fan, and always used the Kingleds moniker on forums etc as they have a player called Ledley King. When I joined this forum,my thought maybe other people who knew me might be on it, and didn't want my real & digital lives colliding, so nicked his :)

Of course I then used my own photo as my avatar like a right twat, so anyone who does know me, knows its me anyway. Not my brightest moment.
