LOVE it Minky! You look fab. I ordered 2 dresses last night, should be here by Thursday

Dress 1.

Dress 2.

I like dress 1 better as the second one has those stupid holes in the side which I'm not sure I'm capable of pulling off yet but we shall see on Thursday/

Cheers Jenna!

Awww thanks Jenna - you will look stunning - Its hard to get ya head around buying smaller sizes because were so used to buying bigger ones. Ive not worn a dress for years as I was too self concious. .... now I think sod it im gonna do it and feel good about myself

And so you should! I agree with getting your head round it the other day I lifted a large dress to try on...had to get the girl to change it twice first to a medium then a small.
I also find my mindset about clothing has changed, prior to sw I thought sizes were getting smaller...now I'm convinced they're getting bigger. I need to stop thinking haha

Lol - I bought a dress about 3 weeks ago - Ive been a size 16 for years, so because ive lost i picked up a 14, I never try anything on. Got it home showed hubby, oh thats nice, showed son he said mam you do realise its a 12 on a 14 hanger doh. Just try it on mam, nooooooooo it wont fit I wont even get it over my boobs, so I thought ah ill try it ............. Lo and behold i got it on lol. Its still a little tight on my tummy but by xmas im hoping not

The first of my parties tomorrow night and this will be my outfit with thick black tights - well it has been snowing lol so i need to keep my legs warm

Lol I sure will hun - she does absolutely loads of BM - shes always walking her son in his buggy and goes to skinny pigs (kettle bells) when the weather is bad and she cant get out she does a DVD at home - she lives on Jacket potatoes and frozen veg

I'm contemplating buying the following dress (not for a Christmas do, as I already have my dress, but as a nice dress for a night out), but I don't know whether to buy it in my current size or in a size smaller to wear at a later date. Any advice?

If you don't mind me asking hun, are you wearing a 14 or 16 in most clothes at the moment? I'm trying to work out whether it's likely to be true to size...if it's true to size then it'll probably be quite a while before the smaller 16 fits me comfortably! In which case I might go for the 18 so that I can wear it now (although I'd be gutted if it no longer fit in a few weeks! xx

Im still wearing a 16 most days as im still wearing my old clothes for work ie leggings and tops. I have bought 2 new pairs of trousers in a 14 and they are comfy. All the dresses ive bought lately tho are 14s and one is even a 12 I think it depends on the make. The dress in the pic i got in a 14 as i didnt want to waste sons money knowing a 16 would be too big in a few weeks. I would say this particular dress is not a generous fit hence its still snug on my tummy. If you can try it on I would as i ordered mine online and couldnt until it arrived. Hope this makes sense lol

That's the problem I've got...our DP is soooo small and it doesn't have most of the range in store, so no opportunity to try it on. I guess I could order it and then just take it back to the shop if the 18 is too big. Although I'm tempted to buy it in the 16 as my size 18 christmas do dress is starting to get a little too big across the shoulders in an 18. God I'm a ditherer, lol! Also it's such a beautiful dress it would be lovely to slim into...although I'll have no special nights out to wear it to in January or February. Dilemma!

Treat yourself and get it in a 16 - your right you can always take it back. They didnt have it in my store either. Mine will be to wear after xmas probably for my hols in April for our evening meals.
