Yasmine's Refeed diary

Thanks Mary, I'm glad you think so :).

Nasreen is ok, she gained weight again though :(. She's gained 5lbs this week. She's beginning to be fussy with veg and is starting to feel deprived or something. If I tell her she can't have something because of the calorie content, she get's in a strop.

But I think she gained her weight from my mums cooking and the luncheon meat. You see my mum cooks food using her eyes rather than follow the recipe as it says. For example, if a recipe says to use 4 cloves of garlic, she'll use 8. She ends up cooking a recipe for 8-10 bloody people rather than 4.

It's ridiculous. If she doesn't stop, I'm going to tell her not to cook for me. I don't know what she puts in and how much, so how am I supppose to keep an eye on the calories and my weight? It's bull crap!

I can hear your frustrations Yasmine, it must be hard for you when you are trying to keep control of what you eat, and on the other hand, (as a Mother) I can understand how you just like to make sure your Children are well fed.

Is it possible you could sit down and talk to her and try to get her to understand how important it is to you to stick to the rules and calories as you are much much happier the way you are and feel now and by going back to the old Yasmine you are not so happy.

I hope for your sake you and your Mum can come to a happy medium on it chick.

Likewise. She's very hard to negotiate with, she's a very proud woman, and it's always her way or the high way.

I'll try though :)

Writing up my plan for tomorrow, it might change depending if I feel guilty or not :p

Oh I know! I found some weight watchers yoghurts which have more in them than the fruit layered fromage frei's and have about 10 calories less! :D

Oooh where did you find those bad boy yogurts to?!!!

We are allowed yogurts from day 3 yeah? x

I remember correctly, you are allowed natural yoghurt on day 3, I'm sure low fat yoghurts are fine though.

The yoghurts I bought are from tesco's. But I'm sure you can buy them from other supermarkets too. Not M&S though, they don't do any weight watchers stuff :(, they want us to be fat LOL.

Yeah i find M&S overpriced and quite frankly - pants! Although they do do some scrummy biscuits! lol

LOL that's true. But if you want to do some good shopping, Asda or Tesco's. If you want some good fish or chicken, buy from Waitrose. They also have a good selection of bread there too, but be careful what bread you buy :D

I'll be on brown bread, also thinking of having that nimble stuff as thats low on cals right?

Yeah i like asda, i can get 9 chicken breasts for £10 there and tesco do bags of frozen chicken fillets for roughly £4 i think but i shall be shopping around being a poor student an all lol

just about to post my refeed menu - let me know what you think  lol i have 5 weeks yet though but nothing like being prepared hha

Feel free to post, I'd love to have a look. Are you studying the refeed sheet?

I was reading it everyday weeks before stopping LT. Nothing wrong with preparing yourself at all :D

Oh and lemme give you some info on chicken. Did you know that Chicken breast fillets that are already de-boned and skinless have more calories than fillets with the bone?.

I prefer to get chicken breast fillets with the bone and de-bone and skin it myself.

I think it has something to do with the water in the fillets :)

No i didnt know that yas - interesting how that works isnt it!! :)

Yeah, kinda annoying though, so much detail lol

Finished my dinner and I am now stuffed lol.

I have to say, I wasn't looking forward to eating brown rice, but I quite like it. But it doesn't have it's softness as I thought it would like white rice. But with Natural Yoghurt, it's great! :D

I'm really enjoying eating again. It's a little wierd eating lunch at school, I haven't done that for years :D lol. But I hate the fact that I have to rush it. I want to take my time LMAO.

I've been thinking about how I should start introducing things like juice or biscuits into my diet after I've finished refeed. I want to be able to have them but then again I'm afraid. How should I go about in doing it when the time comes and when it's appropriate for me to do so?

Yas did you mix your rice with natural yog did ya?

I cooked the rice first and then added the yoghurt yeah. Tastes goooooooooood!

hmmmm not sure about that one - suppose will have to give it a whirl! :)

I wasn't sure about it myself. But you'll be very surprised on what you might like after LT. I could eat a whole tomato raw. Never thought I'd see the day lol.
