I CAN go to York after all. I had thought it would clash with another event, but I can come on the Saturday and stay over.

Just need to book the train and accommodation. Going to have a browse now.

Sorry to be thick but what hotels have people booked into? Haven't booked anyfink yet - doh! May have a clash with seeing the girls too! Yet again!

It sounds like a great idea, however I snore and I would not inflict that willingly on anyone (except hubby of course).

I will find a soundproofed room somewhere, don't worry.

I might treat myself to a nice place, like when I stayed in Glasgow - the Carlton! Particularly since it's just for one night.

It is a very kind offer but I probably won't be able to sleep worrying about keeping you awake. I am embarrassed about the snoring and hate it when comments are made at home. It will be a relief to sleep alone and not have to worry about keeping anyone awake.

It is a shame though, because it is always better to share costs, and have twice the fun! I hope you can get CC's unwanted room though.

I have booked the train for early Friday morning, it should get to York at lunchtime. I'm looking for a nice little B&B to stay in, preferably centrally located.

I have booked the Hilton in Tower Street for the Saturday night, soundproofed room of course!

I have not booked breakfast so will just have my tetra, but will probably have something at tea time. No alcohol though. Perhaps it is just a well . Having difficulty writing at the moment because Jumper has decided to drape himself over the laptop again. His spelling is awful.

Katraya has just been evicted from the BB house. She is so upset - I hated seeing the audiance booing her as she emerged, so mean.

Karen, if I'd known the problems I would have had trying to book just the one night, when a lot of places had minimum requirements for two nights, I would have come on the Friday too. However, I booked the train tickets first, so am committed!

I'm thinking about changing my booking from the Ibis to the Novotel now.

Anyone want my room at the Ibis if I do? It's a double/twin room reserved (but not paid for) at the rate of £67.00 per night
