York Meet September 26th & 27th 2008

York does seem like miles and miles away. I've been spending an AWFUL lot of time in Pontefract / Leeds area and I see signs to York and think about this meet!

If you're wondering if it's a long way from Leeds hun, it's not. Only 45-50mins down the A64 :D:D:D

Thought I'd pop out of 'lurkin' mode to inform you that I have BOOKED MY TRAIN !!

£24.50 return..... no changes... fantastico!!

Arrive in York about 11.45am on Fri

Cannot wait for this weekend.... really lookin forward to seein old friends and new and also I have a special 'date' with a new special friend...;)

Off to Spain for a month next Saturday so see you all at the end of Sept

Sharon don't know if you are going solo?but I could always travel with you split petrol/parking costs...or travel on train...not quite as boring with someone to chat to!!even if it is me!I'm not flying though!!!!

Ooh I didn't see this before I went away. I'm deffo coming to this meet on my own and I'd love the company! :D

I'm still debating the best option between whether to drive or take the train up there - but if there's two of us the train might be the best option as my 'ickle car doesn't have a great deal of storage capacity :rolleyes:

I'll PM you my number and we can work out what's best for both of us :)

Don't know if this will be any help Sharon but I booked mine through www.raileasy.co.uk.... only cost me £25 incl booking fee (that was return too :)...

Yup! I've just booked the train tickets for me and Susan (although the price had gone up to £56.00 return so my advice is "Get in quick!")

We're deffo on our way to York!! :D:D:D
