Morning!!

Another stunning morning again this morning! Jakey off to tennis in about an hour... last one today, he's pretty gutted as he's loved it!! But he has football camp next week instead!

We're off to Eastbourne today... has been the week for hitting the coastline of East Sussex this week! Had a lovely 6 hours at the farm yesterday we all had some lovely tan lines... it was SO warm & again today & the weekend is meant to be even better!! LOVE IT!!!! Got loads planned to do in the garden this weekend so be burning lots of calories!!

Got up at 0600 this morning & did 45 mins on the wii fit... I am determined not to sts this week!!!!!!

Hi Linz, I'm pleased your lad is so active, so many kids these days are total couch potato's
 
Both my kids do loads of stuff... always been active makes such a difference in their wellbeing too!! We live on the village green so if he's not out in the back garden he's kicking a ball about on the green!!

Had my diabetic overhaul today & my sugars have dropped dramatically which is fab BUT my cholesterol levels have shot up! They've put me on statins & recommended that I drop alot of the fat from my diet.... would you think that if I eat the leaner cuts of meat & drop the cheese, cream & chorizo :cry::faint2: that it would work for me still??

Unusual for my cholesterol to have risen so much its usually dropped when Atkinsing.... need some advice pls guys.. thank you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
 
Oh honey :( the chorizo is really fatty though isnt it. try leaner cuts of meat, chicken, turkey etc????? I dont use that much cream - do you?
 
Hmm, my cholesterol levels dropped from alarmingly high to actually lower than normal for me Linz. That is so strange.
 
have you looked to see how much fat in the chorizo you buy?
 
Oh yes, all salami type sos are 50% meat 50% fat.
 
But fat is supposed to be good for us on Atkins love. :)

Have had a lovely morning so far... did 45 mins of step & boxing on the wii fit this morning & have spent a couple of hours outside in the sunshine digging soil to put in our new raised beds for our veggie patch... should've burnt some calories today!!

Haven't changed too much in my diet today

B: natural yogurt.
L: chorizo, rocket, tomato & mayo
D: lamb & roquefort burgers, leeks mushrooms & onions slow fried in butter.

I'm wondering how much difference the statins will make?? Surely low carb & low fat = hungry??
 
i don't think you can do low carb and low fat linz. you could try and switch some of the fats for healthier fats though?

Thats what I thought Abz... its the fats that help burn the fat!!

Have signed upto weightlossresources.co.uk for a month to count my cals/fats as well as low carbing... need to check but have set up my nutrition data as 60% fats, 35% protein & 5% carbs which works out as 107g fats, 140g protein, 21g carbs which I think is about what the Atkins guidelines suggest.

Have been doing my wii every morning for between 30-45mins which is good but ever since that I've been on a stall! Never mind... still have signs of totm so hope that I get a big whoosh once my body settles down again!! Best I can hope for is a sts this week!
 
This is no help whatsoever to you hun but every time I've exercised on previous diets, I stopped losing too - most bizarre. Many people say it's muscle gain but you don't gain that much muscle for it to affect your weight loss or so I,ve been told anyways :D Even so, I'm dragging my Wii fit out tomorrow as well - I'll join you xx
 
:cry::cry::cry: Gained this week 2.4 lbs!! At one point I was showing a 4lb gain!

Not sure whats going on with my body... got totm which I haven't had since being on the depo injection for over 2 years, doing plenty of exercise for the first time in ages & keeping to induction carbs!!!

Plus being told my cholesterol is high... I'm all confused!!

I won't let this beat me tho need to shake it up a bit.... am wondering if to go on TFR for a week to shock my body into losing again. I have some shakes left from CD days.

I don't know what to do & have come so far I don't want to ruin it all.

Sorry fed up & not usually so depressive!!

Still the sun is shining I have just done 30 mins on the wii fit & think I'll take the kids out on the forest for some fresh air!

I dont know about TFR - never tried it so dont know what effect it would have - how carby is it hon x
