Just had a fantastic 30 mins swim did 40 lengths so thats my target now to do more lengths in the same amount of time!

The only problem was that the water tasted of granny talc & there were loads of scullers was like dodgem cars swimming around them!

It really stang my throat, I hardly got any water in my mouth & it was rank!!

LOL - granny talc made me laugh very loudly, I always think of granny talc as the one in the green tweedy tin, I used to spend ages trying to teach patients that talc really isn't skin friendly, invariably they would say 'ok dear, just put a little on please' which of course I did, oh happy nurse training memories.

I love swimming too -our pool is fairly good, but always best to go in term time during the day - thats an impressive number of lengths, well done you!

That generation do love their talc don't they!

I used to swim competitively when I was younger... have competed for the country in the nationals so I have a good easy stroke which means I have to push myself harder to feel like I've actually done anything!

I figure I don't notice anyone else when I'm swimming so no-one is noticing me & I'm only out of the pool for like a nano second compared to how long I'm hidden in the pee & talc filled water!!
